Until the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Senator Obama's spiritual mentor in Black Liberation Theology, popped out of the woodwork, I didn't even know about BLT -- Black Liberation Theology. But the doctrines of Black Liberation have been preached since 1966 in black churches, with the enthusiastic support of white churches of the Left, notably the United Church of Christ. The Rev. Wright runs an official UCC church.
Though I am not a professional theologian, I daresay that Jesus would not, repeat not, approve of BLT. Because Black Liberation Theology seems to go straight against every single word in the Sermon on the Mount. Odd that the UCC has never noticed that over the last fifty years.
In fact, the liberal churches have bestowed great influence and prestige on the inventor of Black Liberation Theology, a Dr. James Hal Cone. Writes Dr. Cone, among other things,
* "Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him."
* "All white men are responsible for white oppression."
* "While it is true that blacks do hate whites, black hatred is not racism."
* "Theologically, Malcolm X was not far wrong when he called the white man "the devil.""
* "The black theologian must reject any conception of God which stifles black self-determination by picturing God as a God of all peoples."

The only way to fight back against this is to publicly condemn this for what it is: RACIST B.S.
We have to do everything possible to keep this crap from being transmitted to the next generation of black children.
Children do not hate without being taught to do so.
Children do not stay on the self-imposed victimhood plantation without being taught to do so.
Our fight against this racism is their only hope and the only hope that our country can truly become the post-racial nation that the vast majority Americans want it to be, and indeed thought it was until they got slapped in the face by Wright/Obama.
Yes, they are political organizations. Actually, they are madrassas.
How can their influence be countered?
Great column. It summarizes the problem by providing enough details, but not too many. Bookmarked. Thanks.
LOL!
Author James Lewis should have been in the San Francisco Bay Area during 1995/1996 — surrounding Prop 209 (repealing preferential affirmative action employing state monies). He’d have gotten to witness how many black “pastors” openly threatened their own church members with banishment (and worse) should they not fight, “actively” (whatever that means) fight Prop 209. Then, of course there were the Black Liberation Theologists top hench men, Democrats Willie Brown and Rev Amos Brown leading it all. The racism from Bay Area “Black Liberationists” was so thick, it was noxious to humans and plants and all other living things.
Instead of following Martin Luther King's teachings -- Blacks wanted to be equal and have the same opportunities as whites, other Black leaders wanted welfare, entitlements, and reparations from whites.
These demands were absurd in that most of the whites in America were immigrants who came to this country long AFTER slavery was abolished by President Lincoln, a Republican.
Many Blacks took proper steps and have achieved success in America after they were afforded their just due -- equality.
Certainly, Blacks were treated badly -- unequally before Martin Luther King but many have taken steps to become successful after Martin pointed out that Blacks were being treated unfairly. And, he was right but what most Blacks have to understand is that most whites especially in the Northern states had no idea about the circumstances in which Blacks were living -- poverty.
And, another thing Blacks need to understand is that there were just as many white immigrants who were living in poverty also.
Excusing serious Black racism, which includes anti-Semitism, hatred for Asians, hatred of Hispanics, and hatred for whites, infantilizes and patronizes African-Americans. The predominantly white Liberal political establishment and press have been doing this for years, which explains why clowns like Wright are still out there race hustling. If they were treated like the pariahs they actually are, in the same way as white supremists are, they would have far less influence.
Artist, heretic, savant, and DU troll.
