The Obamas made their church, Trinity United Church of Christ, one of the biggest beneficiaries of their philanthropy, donating $27,500. Obama is under scrutiny for his ties to the church because of comments made by its senior pastor.I'd say that Obama got what he paid for. ;)

See link to the Tax Prof at Michelle Malkin. You will find that in 2005 Obama’s income increased 13x while his charitable giving was up 30 fold! Why do you suppose this man, who has been aiming for the White house, suddenly decide to be more giving?

And I’ve seen enough of their tax returns and finances over the decades to know that this is true.

IF he were a true Christian as he says he is, besides being against abortion (which he’s NOT) he at least tithed 10% to his church.
$10 says he’s donated more towards something with an Islamic connection instead.

Don’t worry. They are liberals and will make up the difference by donating your income.

Most democrats dont give to charity! They are only takers not givers unless theyre giving OUR tax money to THEIR cause!
That is a fact --they are real cheapos

Hmmm, I’m sure the media will seize on this just as they did on John F’ing Kerry’s tax forms. I remember that his last individual one (before he dug his way into a golden ketchup mine) showed he barely managed to reach four figures in charitable contributions.

Democrat strategy is to not be charitable, let the poor suffer, for an excuse to grow Government

Excuse me, but as a Christian, the church teaches we are to give 10% of our income as tithes. Of course, if you don’t do it, you certainly aren’t expelled from the church but it does say a lot about Obama’s devotion to the church he holds in such high esteem, with Rev Wrong, I mean Wright, as pastor in charge of racism and bigotry. Many devoted Christians give even over and above the tithe as an offering out of love for Christ. I guess 1% would speak volumes to those of us who find giving to our church as a sacred pledge and privilege.

I need a little reminding here. From my memory, President Bush and especially the Cheneys give very heavily to charity and have never had scathing articles about their amount of given written. this is what i remember, too... the Bushes and Cheneys were generous... the Gores were pathetic...
To: Responsibility2nd
Many libs believe paying taxes is their charity contribution.
