Anyone screaming about this has to be into kiddie porn, because there is no other reason for one to be throwing a tantrum over it.
And the only reason you'd own a gun is because you want to kill people.
This is absolutely begging for abuse by law enforcement.
“Anyone screaming about this has to be into kiddie porn, because there is no other reason for one to be throwing a tantrum over it.”
You obviously have no understanding of the nature of the internet and how easy it would be for anyone to have the FBI beating down YOUR door for clicking this link.
Have fun in court.
See post 29.
Look to Post 12 to see a possible scenario.
Let’s say that a page has 23 legitimate links on it and one that seems to advertise kiddie porn. Have you never hit the incorrect link to a legitimate site? I have. Further, I have hit links to sites that seemed to propose one thing, and found myself located on a site offering up something entirely different.
I have also clicked on a photo on google that seemed tame and wound up on a very vulgar hard core porn site.
Over the years I have found myself on what appeared to be a kiddie porn site at least once. When I realized what the site seemed to be all about, I documented it and notified the local office of the FBI.
In the scenario played out in this sting, I would have been guilty of a felony for such an error, and would have to spend time in prison as well as register as a sex offender.
This may sound reasoned to you, because you think only people looking for kiddie porn wind up on those sites, but that is a totally false premise.
For the record, I don’t frequent hard porn sites or sites that reveal more than you would see at the beach.
It does bother me that when I put in some reasoned searches for non-sexual materials, I frequently run into some very vulgar materials on Google. I could change my setting, but I want to see what any kid frequenting Google would see if they were looking for educational or research materials, to keep tabs on what is going on out there.
Well, now that you've taken your broad brush to label anyone who sees the inherent danger in this and where it can lead - as perverts = well, speechless.
You'd probably fit right in as a brown-shirted block boss. - (I can 'stereotype" too...
BS. This is about a general principle. Some can carry this practice out to its logical conclusion and apply it beyond just the scope of just child porn.
That logical conclusion could see this one day applying to anyone clicking on links of sites that sell firearms should the enemies of the 2nd amendment ever have their way.
...... allow me to inform you that you are an idiot.
You're welcome.
Well anyone knowing a little html can make a link to look different from what you think you're getting. The phisher sites do this to get user names and passwords.
>>Anyone screaming about this has to be into kiddie porn, because there is no other reason for one to be throwing a tantrum over it.<<
Not really. I am not into porn at all and I am screaming about it.
I fix friends computers for a hobby. I’m sort of the resident expert (relatively speaking anyway). Every single computer I have worked on had porn in the IE cache. Every one!
My wife’s friend gave us her husbands old laptop to give to our granddaughter but first he cleaned all the “important” stuff off. Well, he didn’t do a good enough job because I found tons of porn on it and a lot of stuff from a site called “chix with dix”.
But the worst was not technically even porn: In his personal pictures from a trip to hawaii he had pictures named “babe1.jpg”, etc. He was spotting “hot chicks” in thongs on the beach around him and taking clandestine pictures of them.
My wife and I decided it would be inapropriate to mention this stuff to his wife. I tried to wipe the drive to install Win2k but it wouldn’t take (old computer). But we ended up just throwing it away to be on the safe side.
What man, under the right conditions and out of curiosity, isn’t under at least SOME risk of clicking one of those buttons, even ashamed of himself for doing it although strictly out of curiosity, only to find out big brother was right there behind him just waiting for the opportunity to “flag” him and remove his right to ever own a gun or look his wife in the eye.
Let he who has not sinned cast the first stone.
And believe me, there is a HUGE difference between clicking on a “under aged girls” icon and being an actual pervert. Huge! The reasons for clicking the icon are too numerous to mention, and most of them are completely harmless.
I suspect they are really looking for those who click more than once. But I could be wrong.
When they came for the Jews, I said nothing because I'm not Jewish.......
Not true. It has the potential for abuse.
Do you know what spoofing is? Anyone can disguise a link to one of the FBI’s sting sites to look like a harmless link to whatever. Your bank, or insurance company for instance. Do you know anyone who doesn't like you? If you do, or even if you don't, you risk a midnight raid by the FBI. Good luck trying to convince them that you were set up. Actual child molesters all have excuses too. The FBI has heard them all and won't be in the least bit interested in yours.
