Yes, I believe refusal to allow this “voluntary search” will have consequences for the resident. Hell, with the state of the understanding of the Constitution these days, they’re likely to consider that refusal to be “probable cause” to go get a warrant. And, indeed, give us the results of the searches of various city officials’ homes as well.

Why would they divert important police resources for this as long as there are no religious themed monuments on public property threatening the "wall of separation?"
