As Ohio election officials investigate illegal crossover voting in the 2008 primary, questions arise on Rush Limbaugh's role.
Limbaugh, the nation's top-rated talk radio host, was urging Republicans in Texas and Ohio to skip their party's primary on March 4 and instead cast a vote for Hillary Clinton in order to prolong the fight between her and Barack Obama.
What Limbaugh encouraged Republican voters to do in Ohio was a fifth-degree felony in that state, punishable with a $2,500 fine and six to 12 months in jail.
On Thursday, March 20, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reported that the "Cuyahoga County Board of Election has launched an investigation that could lead to criminal charges against voters who maliciously switched parties for the March 4 presidential primary."
In 2008, 2.22 million Ohioans voted in the Democratic primary, compared to 1.27 million in 2000, according to unofficial results released by Brunner's office. In contrast, 1.01 million Ohioans voted in the 2008 Republican primary, compared to nearly 918,000 people in 2004.
Michael Slater of Project Vote, a nonpartisan group that designs voter registration drives for low-income people, said GOP meddling in the Ohio Democratic Primary was a clear-cut example of fraudulent voting, which is how Republicans have defined the issue in recent years, as GOP advocates have urged state legislatures and Congress to adopt anti-fraud measures such as tougher voter ID laws.
"Here we have a real instance of spurring people on to engage in illegal election activities with a real intent to affect the outcome," Slater said. "That is voter fraud. People were encouraged to break the law. They had to declare allegiance to a political party and sign a document under penalty of perjury. Intent is what matters in voter fraud."

It is the El Zibo sycophants who are drinking the cool aid and cannot see that he wants to defeat McCain at any cost and hence wants him to face the stronger general elections candidate Hillary Clinton. I see your excellent work translating Arabic does not apply to English. You are better than that, aren't you?

I got real quiet. That’s not fair. Nice photo.

I have never been afraid of appearing “ Stupid”,
in my life, I have already been so many times.
It’s not about being right or wrong in a silly arguement.

(Rush) told the Washington Post: "I would just as soon the Democrats take the hit (by getting a President elected in November) . . . rather than a Republican causing the debacle...And I would prefer not to have conservative Republicans in the Congress paralyzed by having to support, out of party loyalty, a Republican president who is not conservative."I agree with that statement.
So, again, you're admitting that you want Hillary to win in November.

You’re cute. Dyslexic. But cute.

Excuse me, but last I looked, this was still the United States of America, where I still have free speech. I am also a member in good standing of Free Republic, and I have just as much a right to my opinion as do you. You don’t have to agree, but my opinion is just as valid, if not more so, as yours. Rush Limbaugh has never been right about the Clintons, and he shouldn’t be playing with fire. (Whine, Whine).

"so whats your gig?"
We don't need to be allowing a few SCO partners (including implied members like Iran) to conquer the world for the sake of putting more easy bucks in the pockets of a lazy few. We don't need to have Hillary, her hags, and her effeminate male supporters destroying more families. We don't need to have Obama as a president, to see him sucking up to the likes of Hillary and furthering socialism. We don't need to have McCain sucking up to Hillary's people.
There's no viable candidate. There's no pro-American leadership.
My gig is nonpolitical politics for the conservatism that we're not seeing here: the kind of conservatism that doesn't sell out to the enemy or destroy families to enslave them (e.g., Fortune 500s filing briefs for "affirmative action" in Michigan, the divorce industry, and all).

Encouraging "Operation Chaos" in the democrat party is helping McCain on both fronts.Obama is not electable in General Election, Hillary is.
Risking Hillary to run against McCain is a grave mistake.
Obama is a black candidate now, he is no more a unifier thanks to his pastor, he may make it up with dems, but he is toasted in general election again Mc Cain.
Sorry Rush is wrong, but he is not stupid, he has vested interest in Hillary being President.
To: murron
Thanks for the freedom of speech tip. It was quite moving.
To: Anticommie
2 ), then Rush wants Hillary to get elected to "punish" Rep Party, bla bla bla, he is an idiot with a personal agenda now, he's got lots of "shipple" still following him.
I tune in every day and must have missed that show...do you even listen to Rush??? As for his personal agenda...his Adopt-a-Soldier program and other charity work for the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, etc. count for so little I guess.

You are so right. I also believe that he despises McCain so much, and is so mad that the Democrats helped to get him the nomination, that this is payback for him. He would rather see Hillary than McCain. He figures he survived Bill Clinton for 8 years, he will survive her.
