Authorities in Texas believe a two-year-old boy may have been accidentally crushed to death by a morbidly obese relative.
The infant suffered from a fractured skull and was pronounced dead on Tuesday. Investigators suspect a woman fell on top of him, said Bobby Contreras, Hidalgo County justice of the peace.
"It didn't look like there was any foul play from what I saw," he said.
The local sheriff described the death as "suspicious".
But Lupe Trevino said he would wait for an announcement on the cause of death before deciding whether to file charges.
A post-mortem examination will take place and the results are expected to be revealed on Monday.
The boy was believed to have been dropped off by his mother to spend the day with the bedridden relative, according to local reports.

Two year olds need a lot more attention and care than a bed ridden person can give.
This story is real fishy

I don’t think that that picture really shows what is being described.

Man. Could just be me, but I am finding it tough to see the humor in this.
I didn’t have a problem with the dummies taunting the tigers, but this is just sad.

Sad. Poor soul probably loved the baby, and will probably never get over it.
Prayers for the family.

Something just like this happened a couple of years ago in NYC. Little tot was in legal foster care of his grandmother, who was obese, diabetic, high blood, pressure, etc. She was apparently giving him a bath when she had a heart attack and fell over on top of him.
