Cheney Presses For MidEast Peace
# Vice president arrives in Jerusalem to push for Israeli-Palestinian agreement
# Cheney meets with Israeli president, plans to see Palestinian counterpart
# Vice president spent two days in Saudi Arabia discussing energy costs
Vice President Dick Cheney sought to coax Israel and the Palestinians to follow through on promises to forge a peace deal as he began an Easter weekend trip to Jerusalem and the West Bank.
Vice President Dick Cheney arrives at the Jerusalem airport Saturday for a weekend visit.
After two days in Saudi Arabia, Cheney headed into a Saturday evening meeting with Israel's prime minister, Ehud Olmert, soon after his arrival.
Cheney's visit is part of the U.S. strategy to keep pressure on the two sides, despite recent bloodshed, to agree on a framework for peace before President Bush leaves office in January.
Cheney planned to attend an Easter service Sunday in Jerusalem, then head to Ramallah in the West Bank for talks with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
Bush asked Cheney to visit Israel to discuss the peace process and other regional issues in advance of Bush's trip in May to mark the 60th anniversary of the modern state of Israel, according to Cheney spokeswoman Lea Ann McBride.

Thsnks for the wonderful pictures and the interesting info on Camp David. The President’s radio address this morning was very moving and so appropriate. Although it probably drove the atheists nuts (as if they aren’t already). Again, thanks for the thread.

Thanks for today’s Dose, Star. I had never realized that Shangrala was actually Camp David. Roosevelt managed to keep it secret all through WWII. The only thing I’ve read about where it was has been “somewhere in the U.S.”

i saw on Fox the other day, and it was only on once, that the secret service is investigating an attempt on President Bush from 2005!!!!!!!!!! The guy got into a rally of some kind and had a gun on him, he said that he didn’t shoot because he thought he was being watched!

Is Arwen really YOURS? She’s adorable.
One Easter we took our red Irish setter for a walk. I began to fear we were going to cause a traffic accident when we walked along with the dog with big, pink Easter bunny ears attached to her red head. Drivers would glance, and then look back and start laughing hard. But, mainly, I felt sorry for the three girls on bicycles who laughed so hard that one them fell off her bike.

laughed so hard that one them fell off her bike. That's funny!
Yes, Arwen has been with us since mid-December. We've had rabbits before, but mostly kept them in the cage except for some exercise runs.
Arwen has a great temperament and been a great little companion, pretty much with free run of the house when we're home, and run of the family room most of the time. She usually comes when called and hops up and down the stairs like a little, well, like a rabbit I guess. : ) She is just a little puffball of love, I tell you.
