Lord, we pray for our president and brother in Christ, George W. Bush. We pray that You would cause him to walk humbly with You, to act justly and love mercy. May people see Your goodness in him, and praise Your Name. We ask, Father, for his protection, his blessing, and his vindication before the world.
Father, we plead the cause of our troops. They fight to establish a just and peaceful government for the Iraqi people, and their enemies fight to kill and destroy - and they would spread their murderous campaign beyond Iraq if they could. We pray, Lord, that You would protect our troops and make them victorious over their enemies. May peace, prosperity, justice, and - above all - Your Gospel thrive in Iraq. Bless those who fight to defeat the evil forces there.
Lord, we pray that our own nation would experience a revival of Your Spirit, a return to righteousness. And we pray for Your church. May Your people be strengthened and renewed in love and joy as they commemorate Good Friday, and celebrate Easter.
Again, Lord, we offer our praise and thanksgiving for all Your goodness to us, for the mighty salvation You have worked for us. May all glory be Yours, Father. In Jesus' Name we offer all these prayers, Amen.
Come and pray.
A man wearing jeans, a T-shirt, and a baseball cap positioned himself against a wall beside a trash can at the LEnfant Plaza station in Washington, DC. He pulled out a violin and began to play. In the next 43 minutes, as he performed six classical pieces, 1,097 people passed by, ignoring him.
No one knew it, but the man playing outside the Metro was Joshua Bell, one of the finest classical musicians in the world, playing some of the most elegant music ever written on a $3.5 million Stradivarius. But no crowd gathered for the virtuoso. It was a strange feeling, that people were actually . . . ignoring me, said Bell.
God also knows what it feels like to be ignored. The apostle Paul said that God has sovereignly planted evidence of His existence in the very nature of man. And creation delivers an unmistakable message about His creativity, beauty, power, and character. Although God has revealed His majesty, many refuse to acknowledge and thank Him. But God will hold everyone responsible for ignoring who He is and what He has revealed: They are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful (Rom. 1:20-21).
Let us acknowledge and thank the Virtuoso of heaven, who has wonderfully revealed Himself to us.

Prayung your poowerful prayer with you..in the name of Jesus Christ Our Lord.Amen
Amen to a beautiful prayer.
Over 2000 years ago Christ gave of Himself to cover OUR sins. How many of us would do the same for others? Could we sacrifice our son, or daughter, as God did?
The truth carries on. No matter how hard heathens try to discourage us, they fail and succumb to their own lies.
Dear Lord, watch over our warriors while they are away from their homes. Our hearts are there with them every day.
We know that President Bush is Your good and faithful servant. We pray that he will overcome the lies and hatred against him, and end his service to this country joyously.
May our churches truly be filled on tomorrow, Easter Sunday, and lost hearts be filled with Your love and spirit.
Amen
O Lord, may we never forget the gift of love and compassion that came from the agony of the Cross.
Amen.
Amen! Father, complete the work that You have begun in us that Your goodness may be seen in Your church. Help us to let our light so shine before men that they will see our good works and give glory to You.
Thank You, Irish Rose, for your leading us in prayer.
O Lord, we Love to Do Your Will;
Our Hearts Desire is to Glorify Your Name. (Is.26:8)
May the Lord bless you and all the saints this resurrection day.
"And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed." - Matthew 26:39
There are several instructive features in our Saviour's prayer in his hour of trial. It was lonely prayer. He withdrew even from his three favoured disciples.
Believer, be much in solitary prayer, especially in times of trial. Family prayer, social prayer, prayer in the Church, will not suffice, these are very precious, but the best beaten spice will smoke in your censer in your private devotions, where no ear hears but God's.
It was humble prayer. Luke says he knelt, but another evangelist says he "fell on his face. " Where, then, must be THY place, thou humble servant of the great Master? What dust and ashes should cover thy head! Humility gives us good foot-hold in prayer. There is no hope of prevalence with God unless we abase ourselves that he may exalt us in due time.
It was filial prayer. "Abba, Father." You will find it a stronghold in the day of trial to plead your adoption. You have no rights as a subject, you have forfeited them by your treason; but nothing can forfeit a child's right to a father's protection. Be not afraid to say, "My Father, hear my cry. "
Observe that it was persevering prayer. He prayed three times. Cease not until you prevail. Be as the importunate widow, whose continual coming earned what her first supplication could not win. Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving.
Lastly, it was the prayer of resignation. "Nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt." Yield, and God yields. Let it be as God wills, and God will determine for the best. Be thou content to leave thy prayer in his hands, who knows when to give, and how to give, and what to give, and what to withhold. So pleading, earnestly, importunately, yet with humility and resignation, thou shalt surely prevail.
