p> Update: I wonder how the media will spin Obama's church claiming that the "White Church is the Anti-Christ?"
On Anderson Coopers CNN blog, Roland S. Martin spins out of control in an effort to help sweep up the mess left from pastorgate. He claims that Rev. Wright was only quoting Edward Peck, former U.S. Ambassador to Iraq and deputy director of President Reagans terrorism task force. He is particularly claiming that the controversial sermon that includes the quote, chickens have come home to roost was a quote from Peck. He goes on to provide what I guess is supposed to be the quote in question. However, if you watch the start of this video, Wright reveals exactly who the quote comes from....Malcom X!
One of the most controversial statements in this sermon was when he mentioned chickens coming home to roost. He was actually quoting Edward Peck, former U.S. Ambassador to Iraq and deputy director of President Reagans terrorism task force, who was speaking on FOX News. Thats what he told the congregation.
He was quoting Peck as saying that Americas foreign policy has put the nation in peril:We took this country by terror away from the Sioux, the Apache, Arikara, the Comanche, the Arapaho, the Navajo. Terrorism.
We took Africans away from their country to build our way of ease and kept them enslaved and living in fear. Terrorism. We bombed Grenada and killed innocent civilians, babies, non-military personnel.
We bombed the black civilian community of Panama with stealth bombers and killed unarmed teenage and toddlers, pregnant mothers and hard working fathers.
We bombed Qaddafis home, and killed his child. Blessed are they who bash your childrens head against the rock.

What a crock of sh**.
Roland Martin is a typical black liberal.
That was an accident, I think. We were just trying to scare him.
The Catholic Church said Purgatory no longer exists...
As a Catholic I beleive........
except for CNN.......
locked into an eternal misery.
This Roland Martin is just pathetic. There’s a saying said often lately in the sports world. The saying is “it is what it is.” The left media can spin and spin and try to brow beat middle america all they want. The american mainstream sees the obama pastor’s words and as they say “it is what it is.”
The Trinity Church subscribes to Black Liberation Theology. I believe that Obama does not leave that Church for one simple reason. Despite his new found disgust in "some" terminology that Wright employed, Obama has bought into and agreess with the theology that the church teaches. He is raising his kids in it.
Most of us feel strongly about the christian churches we attend. If the clergy depart from the theology that we accept in our hearts, we leave them and find a congregation and doctrine that we subscribe to and will make better men and women of us (through the atonement of Jesus Christ) and allow us to help others.
The Black Liberation theology subscribed to by Trinity is what Obama subscribes to. He's been going and donating to it for twenty yerars. That theology, is the admitted theology of Reverend Wright and the congregation. Wright admits that he preaches his brand of that theology based, in part, on the works of one James Cone...who describes that theology as follows:
"Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him. The task of black theology is to kill Gods who do not belong to the black community ... Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy. What we need is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal. Unless God is participating in this holy activity, we must reject his love."
That theology accepts a perverted and wrested interpretation of Jesus Christ because it describes him as a poor black man (or man of color) living under oppressive white European rule (the Romans) and that he was as much about social change as he was spiritual. He therefore meets their criteria for a God who supports their black power insurgency against what they describe as the ruling rich white men and women in America.
They have perverted the love, peace, forgiveness, and inner focus (spiritual focus) of Christ and His atonement which teaches us that we change within, and when we are healed spiritually, then the outter man follows... and they have turned him into a social radical, hell bent on political and social change at any cost who supports their hate and "revenge" to suit their needs.
This is the message about Obama and his "church" that needs to be spread. I do not believe it is at all subscribed to by most blacks, and certainly not by society at large. But it has been hidden and flying under the radar in these churches and for political correctness purposes has been heretofore untouchable. But now the cat is out of the bag.
It is shocking, is is disgusting...and it is dangerous. And it is in no wat related to, or a derivitve of American foreign policy or society. The fact is America has set more people free (even through a horrific civil war of our own) and assisted more people's than any other nation on earth.
This same type of liberation theology has been used for decades in Latin America to pervert Catholics and goad them into rising into Marxist rebellions in class warfare. That is what this is...and it is the version accepted and practised by black radicals in this country and it is intent on changing this country into a socio-marxist state where wealth, opportunity, and position are not earned by individuals, but instead are handed out by the state...and in this case they simply want to be the ones redistributing it all.
He says the Romans who persecuted a "black" Jesus were whites. He neglects to mention Septimus Severus, the Roman emperor from Libya, (and his successors) who murdered hundreds of Christians of ALL races. Septimus Severus' emperorship (not the persecutions) is mentioned with pride in black history books, so I'm sure that Wright has heard of him.
Wright also neglects to mention the black Roman soldiers who were stationed in places such as Britain.
If I were Obama, I'd be embarassed to attend Wright's church of Gimme-ology.
well this pastor wright, you have to admit, is one guy who can say a lot of words....preachifyin and speachifyin n all...mighteeee impressive..
if the audience is comprised of folks who don’t mind ‘damning’ the greatest country on earth....but why would anyone want to do such a thing?
How in the world can “journalists” take themselves seriously nowadays?
If they do, then surely they are the only ones.
CNN is not good enough for Limbo.
And they'll be LUCKY to make it to Purgatory. They better start consulting the Raccolta right now.
We are told that Wright speaks out against the white-run US in “the prophetic tradition”
Prophets are supposed to speak directiy to sinners who need to repent.
True prophets do not speak to white sinners from the pulpit of all-black churches.
Wright is a non-prophet.
A true prophet in the Bible always spoke the truth because he was speaking words from God.The test of a true prophet was that everything he said came true.
The posers were stoned.
Rev. Wright is no prophet.
And Barack Hussein is no lover of Jesus. His ungodly support of abortion is the giveaway here.
Empty Suit may have the gift of gab, but his arms are too short to box with God.
Excellent! Says it all in a few words.
Roland Martin is a Liberal Black supremacist. He shouts down everyone that disagress with him. CNN gives him way too much time.
The Catholic Church founded by Jesus Christ Himself is used to all the man made Churches and their revisionist Beliefs..... Look at a White baptist Church in west Chester Pa they put Flyers in the Post Office Calling The pope The anti-christ Mary the Whore of babylon and Damming us to Hell In writing.. with their Contact Info... and they support Abortion. pray for them just Like the Moral relativist rev Wright and the Obama Family
