The Reverend Wright's Sabotage

Has the Rev. Jeremiah Wright been trying to sabotage Barack Obama's presidential candidacy? I'm inclined to think so. That's not original thinking on my part: Steve Sailer advanced the idea in a posting way back on January 15 (definitely read the whole thing). Sailer notes that Wright's foundation gave its award to Louis Farrakhan in November 2007, long after Obama began his presidential campaign. Unless Wright is a complete idiot (which he obviously isn't), he had to realize that Farrakhan was political poison. It's not like he couldn't have thought of other people to honor. Sailer's concluding paragraph:

I bet that Wright doesn't want Obama to win—that would disprove his whole world view that whites will never give a black man an even break. He wants Obama to go down in flames to prove he was right, and he wants to be the torch. Just as the conventional wisdom has become that white racism cost Michael Dukakis the Presidency in 1988 over Willie Horton, he wants to go down in history in conjunction with the next myth—that white racism cost Obama the Presidency or Vice-Presidency over Rev. Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr.

So whites (and the country as a whole) lose no matter what happens. Obama defeated? We’re a racist, bigoted country. Obama wins? Instant socialism.

Interesting but bizarre theory - I think Barone jumped track when he said he knew Rev. Wright wasn’t stupid.

This is a bunch of crap. Reverand Wright and his congregation are what they are. Reverand Wright would have said and done what he said and did even if Obama hadn't run for the presidency.

If their is a sabotage/conspiracy it was done by both Jeremiah Wright and Barack Hussien Obama.

Rev. Bullfrog has been nurturing his black Manchurian Candidate for decades. Obama, right out of college, went to Chicago "in search of " his "blackness." He fell under the spell of Svengali Bullfrog, sat at his knee for 20 years and drank the Kool Aide. He's as racist as his surrogate daddy.

He's let it slip a few times - what is in his heart.

He was a young man who was abandoned first by his father and then his mother - at about 13 he became conflicted about his race status. He craved acceptance, the parent figure he never really had. He found it with Rev. Bullfrog. His equating Geraldine Ferraro and his grandmother with the hate and racism of his new "daddy' and the radical racist church was a tip off as to what is in his heart - trying to excuse the racism which he will not reject - with what he believes, as he further let slip, as 'systemic' racism from "Typical" white folk.

He alludes to the coming riots in this country if blacks don't get their just deserts and whitey doesn't finally pay for his sins.

In a speech last year in front of a conclave of these racist black ministers, he alludes to the coming riots - He relates how the "Quiet Riot" was simmering in LA BEFORE the Rodney King incident. He adds that the "Quiet Riot" is still going on across this country.

No, the Rev. is not out to deep-six the candidate he has spent all these programming to lead the Quiet Riot....

Interesting theory,but i was listening to talk radio yesterday(970AM between 5 or 6 PM/ET).Did you know that Obamas site also lists the NBPP(New Black Panther Party)as a group that supports Obama?Their beliefs are pretty radical too-if not more so than the Rev Wrights.Their support is pretty damaging to O as well.Why would O’s campaign allow that endorsement with a link to the NBPP on his official website?I don’t believe it’s a conspirasy against O.Hubris perhaps?Or maybe it’s a reluctance to dump core constituants?It was a good show.I believe it was someone subbing for Schnitt(sp?).Anyone else listen to the show who has better info?I only caught bits and pieces.

Ludicrous !! Obama has belonged to Wright's Church for 20 years. Obama, no doubt, heard his sermons more than one time. Obama is also associated with Farrakan.

Additionally, just now we're hearing about Passportgate?? Give me a break!! US News and all the other media except Fox are trying to cover up the real problem with Obama --> He's a racist. As is Hildabeast, Bubba, Ferraro and many other Democrat elites.

A co-worker mentioned that the people who really do not want OHB in the Oval Office is black leadership. If he gets elected they lose their victim status.

Barone is trying to make a very very sophisticated point and needs a lot more words to do it. There is a dynamic here. Wright might feel that Obama needed Wright and his church for this exotic Ivy leaguer to earn the street cred necessary to make it as a black politician in Chicago. It makes a certain amount of sense to me. I see Wright as a little man a very little man. He is full of hate and anger. He is a demagogue. If he is sociopathic enough to preach the hatred and kookiness in the very little that I have heard him preach, he is sociopathic enough to resent his nephew Barry for succeeding. He may have a little of Geraldine Ferraro in him in that she felt Barry was undeserving to be a candidate for President save for the color of skin. Wright may feel for reasons quite different that Ferraro that Barry does not deserve to be a black President.

If Barry does become President, as a black American he will be put on a pedestal above MLK or any other black American. And if he does become President where does that get Wright? It might get him in the WH but he has been there and done that. He will not get to put on his hate show for any camera if he is closely associated with President Barry.

But an Obama Presidency takes away something very dear and important from Uncle Jeremiah. It dilutes his message of hatred. His message of hatred and anger against Whitey is not as powerful when a bi-racial man is President of the United States. There is another dynamic at work completely unknown to most white Americans. Blacks are racists against whites, but just as true in almost any black community in America, bi-racials are often targeted for ridicule and dislike in the black community as whites sometimes even more so.

A good and decent man would want someone who has looked up to him to succeed and become President and that decent man would take great pride in Barry's success. What little I have seen in Wright he is not a good and decent who might take pride in anyone's success other than his own. Barone needed to be blunt and clear, if Jeremiah Wright was mean-spirited enough to preach what we have heard him preach, then he would be mean-spirited, jealous, and so small as to want to see Barry NOT succeed, and possibly lay a few traps for him along the way. Fox and ABC did not break into the church in the dark of night and steal them. They were sold to them by the church. Wright may not have taken kindly to being exiled at Obama's announcement. Or be thrown off the bus by Obama instead of under like his white granny. In mind, it could have been, that Wright told someone in the church, Sell Whitey the damn DVD's, and let the world see some of MY real preaching.
