Voter ID madness: At least I'm mad
Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel ^ | 21 mar 08 | GARY KRAGER

Are Gov. Jim Doyle and state Sen. Judy Robson (D-Beloit) in favor of voter fraud? Yes, that's the only conclusion you can reach. For one thing, they're chief obstructionists to the very simple solution of requiring a photo ID to vote.

From tire slashing to cigarettes for votes, every proven election law violation or credible suspicious vote fraud activity has involved Democrats or Democrat-supporting groups. That's not lost on Doyle.

When you consider that in 2000, Al Gore "officially" won Wisconsin by about 5,000 votes out of 2.5 million cast, Gore won Oregon by 380 votes and President Bush won Florida by 550, the temptation to allow cheating is irresistible to the integrity-challenged.

Of course, if being in favor of cheating were people's reason for resisting a photo ID requirement, they'd never admit it. Instead, they'd claim a fear of disenfranchisement

To the Dems, disenfranchisement means: dead people, illegal aliens and winos.

There’s always going to be a way to cheat.

A police investigation proved voter fraurd and that that fraud was facilitated by same day registration with no I.D.s. I think Wisconsites ought to bring a lawsuit claiming the failure to clamp down by requiring ID’s, among other reasonable steps, is depriving them of their constitutional right to vote. Every stolen vote diminishes the votes of legal voters.

what is going to get done about the issue of voter fraud ?
I don’t think a thing. The dem leaders and dem boards of elections will simply tell you the same as their answer about illegal immigration—that it is a very complex issue...
They have absolutely no argument in regard to the photo ID requirement. They think we don’t know that even a welfare recipient has a state issued ID to collect ?
I’m suprized the diMs don’t want to make another agency specifically to issue a seperate, required voter ID card.
would create more useless jobs and money for the state.

Start a lawsuit to get Gov. Doyle to let us have voter ID?

Guess what, he has already put his guy on the WI Supreme Court, Louis Butler, and that guy tipped the court to the liberal, Democrat idea that the court is to protect the Democrat Party from criticism, give trial lawyers more reasons to win judgments against property owners and businesses, make sure the unions win cases and let government tax, spend and interfere with our lives.

I say no voter ID means we no longer have the democracy the American Revolution was fought for and we better start thinking about a do over revolution.

It’s a constitutional case...bring it in federal court.

Neither Gore nor Kerry legitimately won WI. The fraud was amazing and gives a gigantic black eye to a state that was once known for its clean politics. Here in WI. we clearly have taxation without representation.

I've yet to hear one single Republican point out that voter ID is nothing but a brazen, "in your face" effort to facilitate voter fraud. I've heard some say they don't favor it, but I've never heard them call it what it really is. It's (as the article says) "maddening."

It is in fact part of the Dem 'Trinity' along with abortion and socialism.

I think I finally know why the Dems as a whole are so opposed to a Voter ID. It just came to me, an epiphany if you will...
Democrats are so butt ugly that when / if their picture is shown it will scare little children, dogs and the elderly to death.
Old poll workers would be dropping like flies from heart attacks. And children accompanying their parent will be scarred for life. We can't have that can we?

Especially without 'Universal Healthcare'.

Shouldn’t ‘disenfranchisement’ be a problem for all of those that need Photo IDs to collect their welfare payments and FREE (paid for by you and me) health care? How about Seniors that need a Photo ID to collect Social Security checks/benefits? *SMIRK*

Doyle is a schnook. The Wisconsin GOP is dead. We have about three true Conservatives in power left in this state, which is surprising because a slight majority of the WI population IS Conservative. *SHRUG*
