They’d also exclaim that the girl scouts ‘had it coming.’
“Pardon me, but something is wrong here, and whatever it is, is not to be found at Trinity United Church of Christ.”{
Yeah, something is definitely wrong here. What’s wrong is that the most fortunate black people on earth, who enjoy incomes and opportunities that blacks on most every other parts of the world can only dream of (and do dream of), but these fortunate black people would rather wallow in self-pity and fritter away many opportunities rather than “act white” and take education seriously, and take seriously the responsibility for raising the children they bring into the world.
Blacks in America, who have never been slaves and most of whom never lived in the pre-civil rights era in the US, rather than getting serious about education, would rather blame whites for all their problems when their current problems are overwhelmingly created by the 70% illegitimate birth rate and high (40%?) school drop out rate, and high involvement in crime rate, and the moronic street cred nonsense that has all to many young blacks involved in gangs and the self-destructive “No snitching” campaigns and considering every minor slight as some “diss” that must be revenged.
At least one black guy was honest enough to put things in real perspective a few years back, the Washington Post reporter who’d just returned from a trip to Africa and said: “Thank God, I had an ancestor brought to the United States of America as a slave.”
But as long as there are black “leaders” of the sort that wrote this article, some blacks will continue to wallow in self-pity and blame everyone but themselves for their problems, while the last immigrant to enter the US legally or illegally, from any part of the world, will soon be more prosperous than many 10th generation descendants of slaves. This writer is just one more excuse maker and blame shifter who is of no help to the black community.
I know that a good portion of black Americans have rejected the self-pity, blame whitey cop out. But I don’t know what the breakdown might be.
>Yeah, I figured that someone who wrote: “White Like Me: Reflections on Race from a Privileged Son” might be Caucasian...<
Yep, he was born in 1968, when all the good protests and riots were going on. He’s just ticked off he missed all the action. What’s that term Savage uses for this guy’s ilk? Oh yeah, “red diaper doper baby”.
Whoever predicted a repeat of the 1968 DIM convention with race riots could be safe where we are heading...
“White People” don’t have to say anything because this is a free country and no one is holding down the “black man”. Anyone in America can work where they want if they’re qualified. They can live where they want within their financial means. Anyone can get a higher education at any university that accepts them. Credit card companies don’t ask race.
Speak for yourself, asswipe.
BTW, I know the Watts Riots were in 1965, I was speaking of the 60’s in general...
Occasional; as in only on Sundays.
How much money do you want and how do you want it distributed?
Tim Wise is the Director of the newly-formed Association for White Anti-Racist Education (AWARE) in Nashville, Tennessee. He lectures across the country about the need to combat institutional racism, gender bias, and the growing gap between rich and poor in the U.S. Wise has been called a "leftist extremist" by David Duke, "deceptively Aryan-looking" by a member of the Ku Klux Klan, and "the Uncle Tom of the white race," by right-wing author, Dinesh D' Souza. Whatever else can be said about him, his ability to make the right kind of enemies seems unquestioned.
For those in Rio Linda -- James H. Cone is the black racist, anti_Christian and anti-America "theologian" who dreamed up "Black Liberation Theology".......
One of his clearest proclamations of "faith" is:
......"the "black liberation theology" of scholars such as James Cone, who regard Jesus Christ as a "black messiah" and blacks as "the chosen people" who will only accept a god who assists their aim of destroying the "white enemy.""
"If God is not for us and against white people," writes Cone, "then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him. The task of black theology is to kill gods who do not belong to the black community."
Do you know anyone who was in the 2nd Div with Rev Wright when he was in the USMC?
