James Meeks? Who is James Meeks?
We know Jeremiah Wright. Now we see that Barack Obama has ties to yet another racist pastor.
Another 'Close Religious Adviser' to Obama Old Media Has Ignored
Illinois State Senator James Meeks has endorsed Barack Obama for president. Here is how James Meeks and his relationship with Obama were described in a 2004 Men's News Daily report during Obama's 2004 US Senate campaign:

It’s Third Time Campaign Is Forced To Denounce Controversial Comments
Sen. Barack Obama is target for critics again Wednesday night in another incident involving a minister and race.
Without permission from CBS 2, the Fox News Channel ran Wednesday evening parts of a 2- year-old story by CBS 2 Political Editor Mike Flannery on language used by State Sen. James Meeks, who is now a delegate pledged to Obama.
“We don’t have slave masters, we got mayors,” Meeks said then while preaching. “But they are still the same white people who are presiding over systems where black people are not able to be educated. You got some preachers that are house n———. You got some elected officials that are house n———. Rather than them try and break this up, they’re gonna fight you to protect that white man.”
When confronted in 2006 about his divisive language, Meeks initially defended it.
“The word n-—— is not, in the African American community, a bad word,” Meeks said. “It’s a term of endearment and I don’t see it as derogatory or offensive.”
“No one will be offended by it, except an individual it applies to,” he added.
An important part of the truth that Fox News did not report Wednesday night is this: Shortly after Flannery’s story aired two years ago, Rev. Jesse Jackson said it was time to stop using the N-word. And Rev. Meeks announced from his South Side pulpit that he was “retiring” the N-word from his vocabulary.
Although Meeks was never very close to Obama, last month he was elected as a delegate pledged to Obama.
Look for Obama’s critics to repeat this tactic in the weeks and months to come. Sen. Hillary Clinton demanded he denounce Louis Farrakhan. Obama did. Tuesday, it was his longtime pastor.
An Obama spokesperson told CBS 2 Wednesday night: “Sen. Obama has appeared at hundreds of churches and served with scores of colleagues and can hardly be expected to be held responsible for all that they say.”
The man Meeks once called a “slavemaster,” Mayor Richard Daley, is enthusiastically backing Obama, as is Daley’s brother, Bill Daley, who once served as Bill Clinton’s commerce secretary.

Barack Obama has yet another problematic political advisor, spiritual mentor and friend: the Reverend James Meeks. A few days ago, WJYS in Chicago broadcast some of Meeks’ more outrageous statements, captured during the heated frenzy of a —uhmm— sermon. Good to hear. You know the "mainstream" media's going to do its best to spike this story in the wake of their latest fawning adulation of the Obamassiah.
While we’re on the subject, it sure would be nice if Kirsten Powers could replace Alan Colmes permanently.
Sunday Hate U. S. and Whitey Sprees All in Gods Name
On March 12 five days ago which is like a century in politics I wrote that the Chicago area media have been going soft on things to criticize in the liberal Democratic party while continually harping on how loony Jim Oberweis isand I cited as evidence of such overlook the twin cases of Rev. Jeremiah Wright, the anti-white, anti-US bigot who is Barack Obamas pastor and ahem the pompous Reverend/Senator James Meeks of Salem Baptist Church who juggles contributions to his 501c3 church and partisan corporate and individual donations to his political career. I said that because the Chicago media are cowered for fear of being called racist, the transgressions of these two black ministers have been long ignored.
Well, they are still ignored by the Chicago mediabut the national media, rising to their role as (supposed) evenhanded arbiter of the political scene, got off their duff having worried about (a) Mitt Romneys religion and (b) John McCains relationship with a female lobbyist and started looking at least at one of the transgressors, Reverend Jeremiah Wright. TV clips of Wright in action at his pulpit aflamed the nation and the tame Chicago media reluctantly had to concentrate on what was happening in their backyard. Even so the Chicago Tribune aka cringeley editorialized that a man should not be held accountable for what his pastor says.
Oh no? But what if the pastor had been spewing that venom for years and has all the time been a good ol boy to Obama until he got nabbed?

This is why - in my own little way - I’m posting this. If you remember, bloggers were all over the map (And so was Free Republic) for months on how racist Rev. Wright and the TUCC is.
But ABC broke the story last week and BOOM! It was soon national news with all the networks and press agencies all over this and so Hussein had to go on TV and throw Granny under the bus. (I think he had another purpose, but blaming whitey and granny tossing is all I can recall.)
I’m hoping that the MSM (under orders from the Klinton Kamp) throws the spotlight of national attention on Meeks (who is a superdelegate) and his ties to Obama.
She’s more intelligent and doesn’t interrupt constantly with some idiotic and often wrong comment. It’s not just Alan who is bad news, his research assistant is incompetent.
When it’s on in our house, someone invariably walks out of the room as soon as Alan opens his piehole.
