President Bush spoke this morning at the Pentagon today on the fifth anniversary of the start of the Iraq war, that liberated Iraq from it’s ruthless dictator and evil regime

Later on, he met in the Oval Office with Georgia's President Mikhail Saakashvili

‘Had more candidates (and the entire Party) done this in 2006, Republicans would still hold the House and the Senate!’

Exactly!!

Thanks to your alert yesterday, I watched/listened to the President speak this morning. He is so spot on. Each time he speaks, I wonder what we’ll do when he’s no longer in Office.....makes me concerned and sad.

I really hate that I missed that speech. I have to look for it somewhere on the ‘net. I can tell that he was and still is passionate about this.

. . . Goeas argues that his findings should encourage GOP candidates to defend Bush’s record and invite the president to campaign and raise money for them.

######

This is a huge problem. Michael Steele, the chairman of GOPAC ran as far from Bush as he could, and I fear that he is still selling the same message to Republican potential candidates. The Republican party is at a huge disadvantage in Congress for 2008 because of the retirements of so many R congressmen - often they are from districts that have become more democrat loaded.

If everyone on FR could tell their local Republican party to support President Bush we would do better in the coming elections.

I hope that more polls will repeat these results and the GOP will believe them!
Of course, President Bush gave a Major Speech yesterday. Old media allowed his voice to say about seven words in their “news” broadcasts. I monitored ABC and CBS radio news all day to see how it was covered.

I will never forget how we heard the voice of x42 every hafl hour for eight years - speaking while saying nothing!

Received and will do - sorry not about yesterday but have been finishing off bits around the house and just crashed out yesterday after getting the bedroom in a state I can actually move back into it.
