I really must commend
Human Events for coming a very long way from their reflexively anti-Israel days.
Yeyasher koach!I wonder why they continue to carry Pat Buchanan, though.

I haven’t read the book. I do know that Robert Spencer does have a lot of good information on his website.

e neo-conservative, Republican-oriented Human Events newspaper
When did Human Events become neoconservative?
Is it that these people are just clueless twits on the difference between conservatives, or is this code for "Jew"?

For the last 8 or so weeks I've attended a class on Islam and it's one of the books used in the class. The fellow teaching lived in Saudi for five years. You can not deal with religious Muslims logically.

I wonder why they continue to carry Pat Buchanan, thoughBecause a significant segment of their readership consists of Buchanan(ites).
Much of their outlook has not been much different from his jaundiced, often poisonous, views - which is why I ceased reading HE.
Perhaps they are trying to broaden their readership through an enlightened editorial policy. May it be so. I do not regard them as a friend of Israel. May I be mistaken.

Is this Karen Armstrong a former Catholic with a theology degree from one of our elite Universities that now goes around talking nonsense about all religious faiths and their underlying myths and goodness. Something about a spiral.

And you don't have to tell me about their former(?) hostility to Israel. I had a personal experience with that many years ago!
