My advice was to wear a black suede kippah, but I forgot about possible peer pressure from Lieberman.

Looks like McCain is getting a nice vacation out of this fact-finding trip too. Many of us will never see these places.
OK, let’s see candidate Obama pay a visit to our staunch ally Israel.
Can anyone identify the Gush looking guy in the Kotel pics with McCain?
Warning! This is a high-volume ping list.
Isn’t that him in the first pic, with the shades?
What is the meaning of the little skull cap (Sorry, I don’t know its proper name.)? I thought only Jews wore these. Is McCain Jewish or is this allowed/expected when a non-Jew visits a holy site? Educate me please.
Non-Jewish men are expected to wear a kippah when visiting a Jewish holy site as a sign of respect. I wore one when I visited Yad Va Shem and the Kotel when I was in Israel in 1986.

Uh oh.
This is a border fence the Israelis built in just a few months to keep the terrorist out.

Give you any frickin ideas?

This is one of many cool things you can tour in Israel.
John Bolton would be the most solid pick , but you know the D-Rats would have a canary. IMO, Fred Thompson would be the odds on favorite. He disagreed with McCain on quite a few domestic issues but is pretty tight with him on foreign policy. Thompson also has a great working knowledge of China. In addition, announcing Thompson(who has been real quiet since he dropped out)before election day would be one more way for McCain to get out some of the conservative vote.

Judas used to hang out in Jerusalem as well.
Just sayin’
