Lebeau (Robert Clary) was also Jewish; actually was a Holocaust survivor. His expressed hatred of the Nazis on the show was not just acting.

Most of the crew was Jewish ... Sgt. Shultz was an Austrian Jew, the French guy in Hogan’s crew was Jewish and was in a Nazi concentration camp - Col. Klink ( Klemperer) was Jewish and his father a famous conductor - Werner Klemperer ....

Werner Klemperer. His father was a symphony conductor who fled when Hitler started tightening the screws. If I recall correctly “Col. Klink” served in the U.S Army in WW II.

LeBeau, in real life, survived a concentration camp. Buchenwald. See Robert Clary if you don’t believe me. Klink ‘s Werner Kemperer had one Jewish parent, I believe.

Werner Klemperer played 'Colonel Wilhelm Klink'. Strongly anti-Nazi, he served in the United States Army during World War II, from 1942 to 1945.

Klemperer was very conscious of the fact that he was playing a German officer under the command of Nazis, and agreed to play Klink only on the condition that he would be portrayed as a fool that never succeeded.

Klink and John Banner (Schultz) were both Jewish. Banner even played a commandant at a death camp in a Marlon Brando movie I can’t remember the name of.
