In a speech on Iraq policy delivered Monday at George Washington University, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton recalled facing “sniper fire” on her 1996 trip to Bosnia to visit U.S. troops on a peacekeeping mission. But reporters traveling with the then-First Lady made no reference to any “sniper fire” at the time, and pictures of Clinton arriving at the main air base in Tuzla don’t show anyone ducking or covering.
Here’s how Clinton began her speech:
Good morning. I want to thank Secretary West for his years of service, not only as Secretary of the Army, but also to the Veteran's Administration, to our men and women in uniform, to our country. I certainly do remember that trip to Bosnia, and as Togo said, there was a saying around the White House that if a place was too small, too poor, or too dangerous, the president couldn't go, so send the First Lady. That's where we went.
I remember landing under sniper fire. There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base. But it was a moment of great pride for me to visit our troops, not only in our main base as Tuzla, but also at two outposts where they were serving in so many capacities to deactivate and remove landmines, to hunt and seek out those who had not complied with the Dayton Accords and put down their arms, and to build relationships with the people that might lead to a peace for them and their children.
It was while she was leaning over her radio cheering for the Yankees.

Surprised she didn’t lie (I mean share) (no, I mean lie) about this in her two Senate runs. Maybe even say she got a purple heart for it. She’s a vitenam veteran for God’s sake! “HILLARY CLINTON REPORTING FOR DUTY!”
I believe the comedian Sinbad was with her on the Bosinan trip in question, and he said that at no time were they ever in danger. He laughed at her suggestions that they were shot at.

Maybe she’s off her meds! Seeing and hearing things maybe due to the pressure of life as a former First Lady and all her other experience.
I can think of no way on God’s Green Earth that the Secret Service would *ever* continue flying into and landing in a place that was under active sniper fire, with the freakin’ First Lady on board. No Way. Not ever.
Under a “risk” of sniper fire, perhaps. But then again that’s everywhere they go. Dallas, for instance.
She’s a bigger sociopath than her deeply sociopathic husband. Some day people are going to read the history of this period and wonder how in the hell the American people could ever even considered electing either one of these two parasitic lumps of protoplasm.

I was just lucky to tune in when they had Sinbad on the news stating there was NEVER any sniping and was laughing his head off. It was a hoot!
Yeah...SinBad said their biggest problem was deciding whether to eat there or wait until later .. !
I recall this non incident. :) Actually, if memory serves me well, President Clinton had security make sure all the soldiers had their guns empty, and no ammo on them. I heard this is stand procedure, but he was so scared, he wanted to make doubly sure. Neither of those bimbos would have left the plane if they thought there were bbs flying around, let alone sniper fire.
