Clarification:
The Obama campaign has told members of the press that Senator Obama was not in church on the day cited, July 22, because he had a speech he gave in Miami at 1:30 PM.
Our writer, Jim Davis, says he attended several services at Senator Obama's church during the month of July, including July 22.
The church holds services three times every Sunday at 7:30 and 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Central time.
While both the early morning and evening service allowed Sen. Obama to attend the service and still give a speech in Miami, Mr. Davis stands by his story that during one of the services he attended during the month of July, Senator Obama was present and sat through the sermon given by Rev. Wright as described in the story.
Mr. Davis said Secret Service were also present in the church during Senator Obama's attendance.
Mr. Davis' story was first published on Newsmax on August 9, 2007.
Shortly before publication, Mr. Davis contacted the press office of Sen. Obama several times for comment about the Senator's attendance and Rev. Wright's comments during his sermon.
The Senator's office declined to comment.
Contrary to Senator Barack Obamas claim that he never heard his pastor Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr. preach hatred of America, Obama was in the pews last July 22 when the minister blamed the white arrogance of Americas Caucasian majority for the worlds suffering, especially the oppression of blacks.

WOW, nice work.
Hmmm, seems the "squeaky clean" senator really does have skeletons in the closet!!!!
There's still some continuing question about that, but no, I was asking your thoughts on this thread in light of the fact that today Obama that admitted he HAD, in fact, heard Wright say the things that last week Obama denied ever hearing.
I AM NOT in any way trying to diss you for this, I sincerely respect your extreme dedication to giving the public that not only the mass media but the DoD seems unwilling to do. but YOU DID catch the apparent error in the original article. I'm simply interested on your opinion of Obama's actions and admissions.
It’s $20,000 bucks worth of support whatever way he paints the picture.
THAT’S the screen name. Thank you!
He's still got "well spoken" left...

Drudge now has this article linked.
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0308/9104.html
Did I ever hear him make remarks that could be considered controversial while I sat in church? Obama said. Yes. Did I strongly disagree with many of his political views? Absolutely just as Im sure many of you have heard remarks from your pastors, priests or rabbis with which you strongly disagreed.
No one in the press has pointed out this statement made just 3 days prior:
"I wasn't in church during the time when the statements were made."
He is going to have to explain that.
From the article:
Obama also said, in effect, that some white people simply dont get black churches. They are full of dancing, clapping, screaming and shouting that may seem jarring to the untrained ear, Obama said. The church contains in full the kindness and cruelty, the fierce intelligence and the shocking ignorance, the struggles and successes, the love and, yes, the bitterness and bias that make up the black experience in America.
This is pure B.S.
I belong to an Evangelical church and a denomination that has African American members and pastors. The sing in the choir, preach from the pulpit, lead mission, and pray with me (a white man) as brother and sisters.
They have the love of Christ in their hearts.
Dr. Tony Evans is a real Christian who is also black.
I "get" that, him, and other black Christians.
Obama is now trying to talk down to his critics and say they just don't get blacks for acting celebratory. That isn't the issue. The issue his pastor preaching things that are un-Christian in deed, manner, and word.
If BHO don’t have the courage to confront his pastor about a hate speech how would he deal with a world leader on a issue that could hurt the US?
By allowing the conversation to be tied to only one sermon and only one day, the right has allowed Obama to dictate how this will be perceived. Short of video showing Obama in the church on that date, there is enough doubt to completely diffuse the issue.
Instead the message needs to be that these sermons on YouTube were the norm rather than the exception. Whether he heard a specific hate filled diatribe is irrelevant to most voters. But if he heard dozens of them, that is something people can seriously use to question his judgment.
Easy: by embracing him/her/other/confused/undecided as a kindred spirit.
Nope, way too late. The 20 year association has already become the center point.
He turned 18 around 1979, so there would’ve been no draft.
No draft but he was required to register, born after 1/1/60 if not registered, may be denied employment in the executive branch of the federal govt.

And to SkyPilot:

The “untrained ear”? We have to train our ears to make this hate rhetoric less jarring?? Let me translate this.
If you hear it often enough, each time, it will become less jarring. The members of our church have heard it so much, it doesn't jar us at all.
Propaganda works that way too.
“Untrained Ear” is New code for: Sorry if you aren't quite up to speed with Our People. He IS a separatist in his attempt to unite.
So much for Mr. Change and Unity.
Obama is so power hungry, riding the fence of appeasement to radicals and appeal to mid-stream Democrats.... he will self-destruct. I can't believe I'm cheering for Hillary at this point.
"I did not have auriculocranial relations with the good reverend's buccal cavity."
"You can ask my wife, Michelle, if you want unbiased confirmation."
We haven't heard much from her lately. She seems to have learned the lesson:
"Never interrupt your enemy while he is in the process of destroying himself."
OUCH
