Rush it’s time to adjust our strategy and back Obama
The Collins Report ^ | March 17, 2008 | John F. Allen

Posted on 03/17/2008 5:44:36 AM PDT by jmaroneps37

The Democrat’s Volvo is rolling over the cliff of phony liberal piety. Now the lies establishment liberals have told about themselves are open for the world to see. Their putative open mindedness, their affinity for the underdog and their willingness to personally sacrifice their own comfort for social progress is giving way to a no holds barred fight against “one of them.”

The “one of them” is Barack Hussein Obama, who is Black with a Muslim name and the most liberal senator in America.

The number of flaws Mr. Obama brings to his candidacy for President of the United States are such that if he was Barry Henry Oswald, White Presbyterian Minister’s son, he might not be a Senator, let alone a contender for the Democrat nomination. Nevertheless, the flaws are there and they are important and Senator Obama is about to win his party’s nomination.

Rush, your strategy has worked very well. There is now no doubt that Mrs. Clinton has been helped by your efforts, but any further work for her might be counter productive. She has been helped enough so she will be a player to the end. She is a Clinton so she will not follow Romney and leave for the good of her party. Accordingly, it is now time to start supporting Obama so we make sure he wins.

We no longer have to make believe that he would be the tougher opponent. Neither would be, but he is the weaker. The fate of the Democrats is sealed. Let’s help Obama nail this down. He will after all be Barack McGovern Obama when this is over. Now we should start working to get our side a huge win so we can change McCain for the better. Supporting Obama is the way to that landslide.

It would be impossible for any conservative to support McCain WITHOUT holding their nose......

There...fixed it. Carry on.

As I just said on another thread, many Freepers would rather vote for the Devil than for a backslider. I will give the backslider another chance and hope for the best.

There will be little that any sitting President can do to stop the coming economic disaster, regardless of the party in power. It will be a World wide depression.

Take into consideration, based on the incredible ignorance of the public, where the blame will go. If McCain wins, the GOP gets all the blame, starting with Bush II.

By the end of McCain’s first term, the Legislation will be over 2/3rds Democrat because the 2010 mid terms, will oust even more Republicans than are already leaving the party this election.

Then, after the MSM drums Schumer, Pelosi, etc,,, and their constant lists of blame aimed squarely at McCain and the GOP for the mess the economy is in, the American public will hate the GOP and Conservatives so badly, it will become almost as bad as being a member of the KKK.

You can count in it. But at least you will have temporary, short term gratification which is all that is left of a once great visionary philosophy.

Although I am sure Democrats (and independents) had a hand in nominating McCain, I too am concerned about the “operation chaos” strategy. Number one, it’s hard to calibtrate correctly - politics becomes emotional and reason doesn’t always work to address it. Also, having an express policy like this gives the left another talking point. Although I suppose they don’t need a reason to play the victim of the “evil” conservatives; they do it anyway.

I dunno. My state’s primary is over. I have until November to decide whether to vote for McCain or do a write-in (that’s a whole other discussion, which again doesn’t need to be settled today). I do find it hard to get enthused about McCain to the point of volunteering or giving money, and I suspect many others feel the same.

I disagree completely with the author and the crossover vote still needs to go the Hildabeast.

No amount of crossover could possibly put the Beast ahead in elected delegates. There just isn't enough left for her to come out on top before the convention.

For Republicans to win there has to be a bloody war at the convention and the final outcome needs to be an angry split RAT base. That only happens if Hildabeast gets the nomination or can battle to the bitter end.

If Obama wins you wont see single mothers and old ladies rioting and protesting a stolen nomination, but if The Beast gets it you are sure to see the blacks and barking moonbat hippies do exactly that!

The blacks and moonbats will go nuts if Hillary gets the nomination and the DNC wont put that raging wildfire out in the 2 months before the general election.

Even if they blame Republicans and Rush who can they take it out on if not Hillary? They don't want Hillary so their only protest is to stay home, vote for Nader, or vote for McCain!

What has happened and Rush has more or less pour gas on, is the deep divisions and prejiduces of the Democrats. As long as they continue to fight, Johhny Mac has a better chance.

Here's how I see the Dims in Denver(sounds like a song or movie title there). Both candidates come in without the delegate count to garner the nomination outright. The 'superdelegates' divide evenly between the two, leaving it as divided as before. Brokered convention.

Even this is wrought with peril for the Dims. The backroom deals that will go on, no matter the result, will split the Dims forever. If one side is left out, at least a third of the Dim voters will not support the winner. Instead they will prefer to 'teach the party a lesson', by voting Repub, or 3rd party.(sound familiar?)

In any case, the Dim party, which for years has been promoted as the 'party of the under-prviledge', the party of the little guy, and special interests, will divide between the powers-that-be, and those they sought to 'help'.

The Democrat Party has always been the party to provide other people's money to keep a captured voting block, the poor, under control for their purpose. The PTB in the Dems never expected, that sooner or later, those same people they 'help', would actually run for offices generally reserved for the Dim party elites.

Right off the bat here is another reason why I have to vote for hopelessly moderate McCain(though I don't really in the long range trust him....I cant allow the other 2 to be prez)

......the Supreme Court this week takes up the question of whether Americans have a constitutional right to own guns....

.....Neither Senator Clinton nor Senator Obama, both candidates for the Democratic presidential nomination, signed on to any briefs. Senator McCain, along with 54 other senators, has asked the Supreme Court to
affirm a lower court ruling that struck down the Washington ban.

You’re absolutely right. As a sitting legislator McCain could prove to conservatives today that he is serious about the border by introducing and pushing for border security legislation as hard as he pushed for the amnesty bill. I won’t hold my breath waiting.

actually the fascinating part of the story is how the DBM is trying to push the notion that the internet is NOT so important on this story. (as they show the you tube video again and again)

But will he finally support McCain?

As Rush has pointed out many times, to support McCain is to undermine McCain.

Is mostly conservative like being mostly not pregnant?

McCain, Obama and Hillary are all DC insiders who are lost in the ether of the senate country club.

peas in a pod who “know a left spin is better for you.”

And who is backing radical Islam? Underground communism? And who has been giving money to the Clintons? I still think Hillary is by far more dangerous. If Hillary ends up getting elected President it will make Rush Limbaugh look like a punk.

Rush is putting in the chaos theor because MCCAIN IS A POLITICAL WIMP.

As a gang of 14 member, as a sponsor of illegal alien amnesty, as indifferent to protecting marriage, MCCAIN is firmly in the trent lott wuss school of politics.

If McCain was a TRUE candidate he would not need to have Rush do McCain’s job.

Not even Ronald Reagan was 100% Conservative all the time. For example, Ronald Reagan conceded to some tax increases and he even signed an amnesty bill. There are other examples, too.

The Republican Party has never been 100% Conservative all the time.

There is no viable Conservative Party on a national scale. Conservatives have a home in the Republican Party. Conservatives are ridiculed and shunned by Democrats.

No American president, Republican or Democrat, has ever been 100% Conservative all the time.

Conservatism is a matter of degree.

When you demand all or nothing, you get exactly what you deserve.

"I think this is a foolish strategy. Obama has serious demagogue potential, and his Jeremiah Wright moment is already being hushed up by the media and will not hurt him ultimately. He has a much greater chance of actually getting elected than Hillary, and supporting him is just throwing open the gate to Islam."

Not only that, but he is still increasing his delegate lead (Edward's, delegates from Iowa) and with proportional representation and the large gerrymandered black districts it is highly unlikely that Hillary will overtake him before the convention. Which means that, if she is to win, she has to use super delegates to counter the advantage Obama will have in delegates won from primaries. This blatant "stealing" of an election will cause the Dems damage which will be felt LONG past November. THAT IS A SCENARIO THAT I RELISH!!! Why spoil it by heeding calls to prematurely switch strategies. Rush knows the score far better than the author of this piece.

Can't argue with anything you said there. I do believe there are others working the division in the Dims toi their advantage.

It's possible that Johhny Mac is a wuss, but I really think deep down that Mac has a warrior ethos and will do what it takes to win this time around. Some of the crap flying between Obama and Hillary are very Rovian in form.

Maybe Mac learned a few things from Rove in 2000, like feed the pigs and let them wallow in the mud. Kinda like the Dims are doing now.

"It's impossible for Clinton to get the nomination without major support from the Democrat "Superdelegates". And for that to happen they will have to go against the "will of the voters". And if THAT happens you will see major self-destruction in the Democrat Party.

The goal here has never been securing the nomination of Obama or Clinton. The goal has been to make sure the Democrats will not have a clear winner going to the convention so the entire American populace can watch the Democrat implosion live on television."

FINALLY!!! Someone who actually gets it.
