NY Gov used native Nashvillian's name in prostitution ring (Spitzer disguised as George Fox)

Graduate of Brentwood Academy and brother of school board member is dragged into Spitzer controversy

....it was revealed that New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer was involved in a "high-end prostitution ring." It turns out that he in turn involved a Nashville native in an attempt to cover his tracks, though the Nashvillian was unaware of it at the time.

George Fox, 48, a graduate of Brentwood Academy and the brother of Metropolitan Board of Education member David A. Fox – a former editor and current director of NashvillePost.com – was the name Spitzer used when checking into hotels for his dalliances.

George Fox is the president and founder of Titan Advisors, a hedge fund advisory company, based in Ryebrook, N.Y.

The company has an office in Nashville run by David Fox.

George Fox and Spitzer had been friends for many years prior to the latter taking office. Asked to comment on the revelation that his brothers name was being used by Spitzer, David Fox declined.

Titan Advisors has, however, released the following statement: "The news that his name may have been used as an alias comes as a great surprise and disappointment. Mr. Fox only became aware of Mr. Spitzer's alleged activity when informed of it Monday morning by the media. There is absolutely no connection between Mr. Fox and the Governor's alleged activity beyond the unauthorized use of his name.

Mr. Fox considers Governor Spitzer a close friend and is distressed by the news that has emerged. While he is disappointed that his name was involved, he appreciates the apology the Governor has personally communicated and he wishes the Governor and his family strength as they endure this difficult period."

Waiting for hysterical laughter to die down.

Why do they have to drag the south and the Bible Belt into this ???

Bill Clinton would have been an OK name to use...

if a “southern” name was needed...

He lives in “south” NY state

So Spitzerdrek committed identity theft as well. Only a rich, powerful democrat elite could get out of this.

Yup----lots of versimilitude there. LOL.

Why do they have to drag the south and the Bible Belt into this ???

Their hatred for anything resembling moral values HAS to be denigrated--according to these scumbags.

did Spitzer realize the ironic laughter that would ensue when it became known that the Fox was in the henhouse?.

I am convinced Spitzer is a sociopath. He couldn't use a name like "Jim Smith". Even a friends name is something to be used and exploited. What a monster.

Good point.

Although I tend to think Spitzer and Fox were colluding in dirty dealings-—to launder money for hookers.
