Because I have studied the sociology of family extensively; and most cheaters have not given it a real go. One can only speak in generalities on this board. But I venture to say that the truly medical exceptions are in the vast minority. Most adultery situations are personality clashes, communications issues, or just plain ol' amorality about the impact of cheating within a relationship where fidelity was offered, promised or knowingly expected.

Reading the thread through, I've come to the thought, Spitzers wife too, is a politico.
Liberal politico at that. Could we not compare the Spitzer family, and the Clinton family,
who have similar characteristics. Tho, one was an intern, the other a call girl. Mrs. Spitzer
might have been tolerating this behavior to further her own career. Libs seem to over look family
values if it will further their political aspirations.

I agree with all that you said in response to “Why would any real man need a woman to stroke his ego?” And I am a woman.

I think it is really a crime in our culture to see the extent to which men are disdained by women in general and show major disrespect by their wives. I am sick of it. So many women complain about how their husbands do not take the time to learn the wife’s needs, yet there are precious few who understand how important it is to a man to be admired and respected by his wife.
