We can't let Tucker Carlson's show, which I've enjoyed, pass into history as it did last night without a mention here. MSNBC has said that Tucker will remain at the network as an at-large commentator, and I have a feeling that, liberated from show-host concerns, he might become even more uninhibited in the expression of his quirkily conservative/libertarian views.
So let's usher Tucker out by focusing on one of our favorite nemeses, Rosa Brooks, the liberal LA Times columnist who appeared on the show's final episode last night. The unreconstructed Obama apologist offered the lamest excuse yet for his failure to have disassociated himself earlier from the ugly rhetoric of Rev. Jeremiah Wright: Barack simply wasnt paying attention in the pews.

Lamest excuse yet ping to Today show list.
Yeah, he was playing video gmaes on his Blackberry.
Does somebody know how to post the video of Mr. Bean sleeping in church?
Probably out smoking a cigarette when Wright said that stuff.
Somebody needs to contrast the press’ reaction to Obama being a Rev. Wright buddy to their reaction when Bush gave a speech at Bob Jones University.
Church has always been nothing more than a prop to some folks.
But of course he didn't inhale.
LoL. Yeah he didn’t listen for 20yrs. lol
LOL great shot there.
Obama didn’t inhale!
It is not credible to think that he could go there for 20 years, donate so much money there, be married by the guy, have him baptize his children, make him a religious counseler on his campaign, claim that he his his mentore fr Heaven's sake...and yet know so little about the guy.
These statements by Wright, this hateful rhetoric are this guy's MO. I believe Obama has shot his foot clean off over this.
If he did know (and he surely did) then he is a liar and complicit with the hate. If he did not know, then his judgement and powers of perception are so pathetically inadequate as to compromise and disqualify him in any case.
Thanks martin. I usually don’t like to post unflattering photos, but this one did illustrate the point perfectly, as Rosa revealed that even she couldn’t keep a straight face about her lame excuse.
didn’t Rush already bring that up?
Obama also claimed to have started attending in 1991 or 1992, so his connection with the church would be less than 20 years—but his ties to Jeremiah Wright may go back several years more.
Apparently he must have selective hearing, because he said he heard about Jesus and the poor.
