The story of an Illinois high school making a gay pornographic play required reading for seniors has been reported since March 7th, but it has been ignored for the most part with only a handful of news outlets having taken on this issue. The fact that a public high school that requires such reading doesn't raise a fuss in the media shows how the media supports the gay agenda, of course. It also shows the arrogance of the Deefield, Illinois school administrators that tried to slip this advocacy for homosexuality into the curriculum without bothering to sponsor a discussion on including it among the community that pays the taxes for the school district.
The book, "Angels in America: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes," has numerous passages that describes gay sexual encounters in exacting, sometimes violent, detail.
Initially, this book was required reading for college-bound seniors, but a Deerfield community group was successful in getting the book removed from the required list and placed on an opt-in list.
Matt Barber, director of cultural issues with Concerned Women for America, was amazed by the explicit nature of the book.
Barber said, "This isn't a First Amendment issue. This is about school officials betraying the community trust. Heads need to roll here. Assigning this racist, pornographic smut to high school kids is nothing short of child abuse."
This same school district has been in hot water before for trying to slip in under the radar homosexual advocacy into the curriculum.
The school district and NSSA clashed last year over a freshman orientation session where students talked about bullying and other issues and included gay students relating their experience in high school.
And yet, the news media stays silent on this issue. It isnt hard to understand why. The MSM wants neither to alert people who would stand against this effort nor report the success, even if minor, of these people trying to head off the instituting of the homosexual agenda in our schools.

I never read the book, but I actually thought the HBO megamovie was pretty good.
So let me get this right. Schools are now banning skittles candy, and requiring gay porn? Got it.
Studies show that ACT scores rise when students are assigned rigorous reading material, much of it traditional classics- Shakespeare, Dickens, Fitzgerald. That assumes that the criteria for choice is education rather than social engineering.
ping.
Sean Hannity doesn’t want to talk about this either, I got through the other day and again told there are more important things out there, like the election.
another day, another reason to home school...
How ever good or bad you remember public school to have been in your day, it is worse, there has been a step-change and it is way worse.
If you care about your kids and your grand-kids, get them out of public school. The public schools have no reason to change unless there is a groudswell of movement away from them. And even if such a groudswell never happens, you need to do what you can to save yours.
How about preaching and ranting about the moral perversions
like this dragging ALL Americans down the sewer Rev. Jeremiah Wright? The liberals your congregation en masse votes for foists this trash on us....or did you teach Obama his version of ‘Sermon on the Mount’ giving credence to gay unions.
This world is becoming so corrupt, one day we’ll see another Sodom and Gomorrah.
If this is the way this world is headed, I’m not looking back toward Sodom.
Over here. Yet another reason to homeschool!
Homosexuals need to keep in mind, however, that the good news of the gospel is not about how God despises same-sex sexual relationships. In fact, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 indicates that certain members of that church had been slaves to such relationships but had been cleansed in Jesus' name. So these former homosexual had evidently repented and accepted God's grace to straighten their lives out.
John 3:16
Revelation 3:20
Uhh, they would have to provide my children with an alternate book.
If I had to educate my two children again, they would NEVER SET FOOT IN A GOVERNMENT SCHOOL in spite of the socialists trying to FORCE everyone into their indoctrination camps. Liberal filth.
And those defending allowing porn like this to be available to kids in schools have already been out in force on FR.
*boggle* Who the devil could even think of defending that? Sweet mercy...
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
I don't believe the framers of the Constitution ever intended this First Amendment to protect this kind of garbage.
My understanding of the First Amendment was to protect POLITICAL speech, criticism of the government and elected officials; not to let any kind of sewage promoted as *literature* to be foisted on the public under the guise of *free speech*. I think they would have been mortified if they realized how that amendment would have been misused.
Censorship isn't all bad. Some things deserve to be censored.
Heck, even the left is in favor it it when they try to ban books like the Bible and To Kill a Mockingbird. They only are against censorship when they agree with something. When they disagree, they are pro-censorship themselves.
“Over here. Yet another reason to homeschool!”.....
You would rather your kids go to homeschool and not homoschool?
we have no one to blame but ourselves. see maybe a school district has 1200 students, there may be 200 or so concerned, caring parents(that’s probably high) the school district isn’t going to give a rip about 200 people.Quite frankly if people dont care about their own damn kids why should I?
