Her Mama Must Be Proud
Outside The Wire ^ | Bob Parks

Posted on 03/13/2008 7:24:00 AM PDT by bocopar

That’s the way Ashley Alexandra “Kristen” Dupré will be remembered. Not as a young woman with potential, as are all of our young women. No, she’s now known as the $4,300-an-hour ho who brought down the Governor of New York.

Many in our entertainment intelligentsia consider prostitution a victimless crime, thus Ashley Alexandra “Kristen” Dupré’s activities are going to be her ticket to fame and fortune. She’s probably already received many offers from agents who know they can sell her name, face, “voice” and body. They know there will be interested parties waiting to exploit her newfound fame, or infamy depending how you look at it.

As usual with this generation, it’s all about her. On her MySpace page she wrote,

I am all about my music, and my music is all about me…. It flows from what I’ve been through, what I’ve seen and how I feel. I live in New York and am on top of the world.

Well, if she could make it there, she can make it anywhere.

Ashley Alexandra “Kristen” Dupré alludes to a broken home and abuse. If true, that is tragic. However, there are many other people who have survived broken homes and not turned to breaking the law. Prostitution IS against the law.

Granted, unlike Eliot Spitzer who gleefully put people in jail as New York’s attorney general and has no sympathy coming his way from the public, Ashley Alexandra “Kristen” Dupré may give community service a new name and will come out of this a rich woman. She may get a book deal, recording contract, or a modeling gig. She probably won’t be earning $4,300-an-hour, but she will be able to work, for the most part, standing up.

Personally, I’m hoping her name becomes a noun.

I read somewhere that the mom said that her daughter could handle a man like Spitzer, as if she was proud of her daughter's behavior.

IIRC, Lewinsky's mom was also an enabler.

Folks, this is what 40 years of hippie/Marxist/Democrat destruction of the nation from the Supreme Court on downward has bought us.

“You might say that Ashley’s life is what UNC wanted Eve Carson to aspire to!”

As a yankee I was not privy to that info. Of course, we New Yorkers can alway rely on the campus SUNY New Paltz for educator-approveed pornography, and we catholics can always rely on Notre Dame to promote the Vagina Dialogues every year.

Anyways, it is sad to see these prostitutes given false labels just so pathetic men can justify dropping thousands for a fantasy that no where resembles reality.

Educated? Classy? Sophisticated? and worldly?
Eliot had that at home already.

“At one time this girl was an innocent child”

Nightline already did a segment on her last night and amazingly they had already dredged up footage of her in an elemtary school play where she played the lead.
She was awfully cute - and innocent.

It was very sad to watch.

But if you talk to her about Christ you could violate her rights or her income potential.

From what I understand about the nightlife in Albany - this should have been available to him without dropping all that dough.

That said, it's no excuse for a life of crime.

Exactly.

Wonder what the left would be saying if it had been a cop using Emperor’s services? Or a prosecutor? Where does the “higher standard of conduct” begin and end?

Sad indeed. That sums up this entire story. Sad for her, sad for him, sad for his wife, sad for their daughters.

Chill out, people! The chick has just had a lucky break, like most of us wish for all our lives, like the Beatles and the Rolling Stones did when they were her age, like a winning lottery ticket. She won’t ever have to hookie her nookie, or at least not in a traditional hooker way, and certainly not for such insultingly low fees. Notoriety as a ticket to the Easy Street. Lucky girl, bless her!

Strikes me as a very mean-spirited article.

She ran away from a broken home at 17. This is the last of a series of mistakes. She's publicly disgraced, broke, has no education and is about to lose her apartment after a breakup with her ex-boyfriend.

Reportedly she has patched things up with her mother. I hope she uses this opportunity to take stock, change her life, get an education and turn things around.

It is those daughters for whom I feel the most sorrow. They have to endure the public humiliation of their mother by their father.

It's a New York bigwig kind of thing. Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani ... the kids' moral development is not as important as The Dad's power, money and ego.

And we all think that it is perfectly legitimate and moral to pry into this girl's life and dredge it up, don't we? Because this cat thinks it is morally repugnant voyeurism worse than her own sins!

funny how the same situation can appear completely different, depending on how you look at it.

“And we all think that it is perfectly legitimate and moral to pry into this girl’s life and dredge it up, don’t we? “

I didn’t say one way or the other - I was just amazed at how quickly they managed to find it.
It appears one of her old classmates (the boy who had the leading role) grabbed his old tape and ran to the media.

” Because this cat thinks it is morally repugnant voyeurism worse than her own sins!”

“This cat” - meaning - you? (just trying to make sure I understand your post.

You think it is worse to play an elementary school play on tv - than to get paid for sex with married men?

It was a stark contrast to what is going on her life now - a time of innocense when she was just a sweet little girl.
Kinda like the stage Eliot’s youngest is at now.

That's a sobering article. The only "balancing" thing I can hope about it is that her clientele, being all of the same type, distorted her view of what most men are like. Let's hope.

Yes, voyeurism that surrounds us everywhere, and that many of us practice daily, aided and abetted by the MSM, is morally worse than consensual sex between two adults in exchange for some agreed upon fee. And what Nightline did, as you describe it, was pure voyeurism!

As opposed to the way that Jackie O’s parents must’ve felt when their former first lady daughter remarried for money, contracted the sex, and was photographed topless sunning on a yacht?

And later lived with a guy of a different religion from her supposed faithful Catholicism. But that wasn't serial promiscuous prostitutiion like the Spitzer girl; it was the more acceptable (for celebrities and political figures) serial monogamous prostitution.
