Inflict as much damage on Obama and then resign,

Not to quibble, but if that is their idea of inflicting damage, then somebody is an idiot.

Obama will gain more support from these types of missteps and that is what is happening as his supporters get even more zealous in his defense and their support..

The only campaign hurt here is hillary's.

Obama is really calling the shots. Geraldine was NOT going to back down, yet it really didn't matter. Obama issued the order that she be fired...regardless...and Hillary OBEYED.

Hillary will continue to do so...no choice...though a clean campaign means the Clinton Play Book is out the window. All she can do is argue "experience"...and between her & Obama that's like 2 chihuahuas arguing over which is the bigger dog...while 'Great Dane' McCain is standing nearby...

McCain WILL obey, too...already has by instructing all staff that if they use Obama's middle name...they're HISTORY.

A clean campaign? Even Sean Hannity's complaining about that possibility...very interesting...

Developing...

Our inner selves agree.

Dan Quayle is proof that Geraldine was right, he had a longer resume than Obama and got NOWHERE in the primaries because he was 1-white 2-looked young.

i>Whenever I get to ecstatic, that damned little voice reminds me we got McCain. I hate that little voice.

And don't we all hate that nasty little voice; let's face it - McCain's the original party pooper. The only good thing about McCain is that he's not Osama or the Hildabeast.

We must try to think positive. McCain's not half as ugly as he looks on TV - particularly if you turn off your TV. His trophy wife is worth $300 million dollars, so he doesn't need to hold out a Clinton begging cup to the Chinese. And at 71, even McInsane knows he has to cut back on his near-legendary grossly profane screaming fits.

It could be worse, really......

So did Hillary reject her support or simply denounce her? There is a difference, you know. :)

I'm beginning to think that both camps have disposable help - people to go out and make a point, then resign and disappear

Kind of like suicide bombers only making political attacks.

Yes, and he’s getting quite arrogant.

His head is getting rather big. Even Karl Rove said that his response to Mrs. Clinton about being her VP was arrogant.

For Hillary, forcing Ferraro to step down after a day or so elapsed was a win-win-win, since (i) Hillary appears to be tough on those who lay “low blows” on Obama (not that I think that it was a low blow, but many in the media obviously did), (ii) it forces the media to rehash the “Obama-wouldn’t-even-be-running-if-he-weren’t-a-black-male” argument one more time, making sure that more people hear it, and (iii) the Spitzer thingy is no longer the most recent political story, and Hillary would obviously welcome anything that reduces the prominence of the Spitzer story (and the unavoidable mention of Spitzer supporting Hillary).

Excellent analysis OroAgua. It didn’t help Obama that his key supporters started to scream “racism.” That’ll help him with the blue collar Catholics in PA! ;-)

I think you are sooooo right.

Those words from Mrs. Ferraro sounded like something Hillary so wanted to say but could not. I’d been thinking this right along.

Hillary’s got to be steaming. She deserves this dammit. And this upstart Obama is going to take it all away from her.

Of course her reputation and history couldn’t have contributed to the Dems’ mass exodus away from her. All they needed was someone with half a chance to win. Not to mention the way the Dems in general treat their faithful black constituency.

And now the atmosphere of political correctness, which is really censorship disguised as kindness, that Hillary and her ilk help create, is coming down to squash her.

And her spokes people, as the case may be.

"...did she say it strictly off the cuff or was it planned between her and Hillary to get the message across even if it meant she had to step down..."

Falling on her sword?

Reminiscent of Bill Shaheen's comments on the dope-dealing or dope-selling Obama?

Sometimes, his ethnicity or proclivities need frequent mentioning. (But I won't repeat his drug-dealing, drug-selling, or that he's really black in color, as opposed to the Clintons—who are white, not black, and don't sell or use dope like Obama has been credited with doing, or has mentioned in his autobiography.)
