Taxed into Bankruptcy and Bondage (Tax History Provided by the U.S. Treasury Department)

We have to stop talking about Americans in terms of "the rich" or "the poor" - or even in terms of economic "class" envy altogether. America was not designed to have any set of socio-economic classes, which would be used by ambitious politicians to exploit every American via class warfare. We are individuals, each with different dreams and talents and desires. We are equal only in opportunity and the rules of nature which dictate only that failure, equality and success are individual rights achieved only by individual effort.

The only "us against them" that really exists in America is "us tax-payers" in search of freedom and self-determination, against "all who seek political power" via our confiscated earnings, at the expense of individual freedom and liberty, - those who revere freedom and individual choice, against those who seek a greater communal good.

The rest of the class warfare nonsense is nothing but a scam invented to pit American against American, leaving the politicians in power and the nation divided and broken.

Politico’s depend on division, no doubt about it.

But you believe that every American voter does as well?

I hope you are wrong...

Why do you think taxes are so high? To take money from those who have some through their hard work and gives it to government elite officials, and those who have their hand out to the government and don’t want to work.

I know why taxes are so high, “from each according to his ability; to each according to his need.”

Marxism is alive and well in 21st Century America.

The question is, are the American people on-board or just ignorant?

Have we really reached the stage whereby “most” Americans seek “free-stuff” over “freedom?”

I'd say stupid, indifferent, lazy, and clueless. The percentage of on-board citizens seems to shrink daily.

Thessalonians 3:10 states the way to get people to be engaged, educated, and off their butts.

He who does not work, neither shall he eat.

Not so much “how” does it pay for stuff,

but “what stuff” is it AUTHORIZED to pay for.

If the gov’t stuck to the authorized stuff, there would be no problem paying for it without ruining people’s lives, property and wealth.

Isn’t it all authorized by our duly elected officials?

Yeah, sure, no problem, whatever our elected officials want to spend taxpayer money on is OK.

Not too up on this “Constitutional limitations on government powers” stuff, are you - or are you being facetious?

I agree...and at the time, Paul experienced government as brutal at enforcement of confiscation as we suffer now....

It takes an honest press, and a vocal populace to keep pointing out the truth, if we are ever to right this ship of state.
Unfortunately, a few generations of ‘entitlement’ living by a large portion of the population makes this less and less likely in America, today.

I fear for the future of this grand experiment.

About a year ago or so on TCM one of their short time fill-ins was a WWII propaganda film where FDR said...
Anyone who complained about their income taxes was a TRAITOR.

It had other goodies like those who didn't save scrap iron or old tires was in effect, a NAZI agent. Now those films are laughable but the people bought that carp back then. However, FDR's 'Taxes and Traitor' stuff WASN'T funny. That socialist s.o.b. was serious as a heart attack.

Today's RATs are the same - complaining about your taxes is un-American. Hell as far as they're concerned our money is theirs (and they WANT it all)! So IMO we need a Tax Revolt. Starve the Beast. Come April 15th - nobody file a return. They'd go apoplectic with only weekly withholdings to fund their pet projects.

And if a majority of American did that they couldn't do squat. It would be like the illegals but 103 worse. They'd be overwhelmed and would give up, as they "can't arrest 200 million Americans or separate all our families" :-)

(okay, just a pipe dream of mine)
