Does anybody remember that we’re at war?? (Military *and* economic..)
There are oil-producing countries out there that might be interested in discouraging a burgeoning (however misguided) alternate fuels industry — and quite a few of them are not above using ‘unconventional forces’....
Nothing like handing them a comprehensive, collated target list for free.....

I hate to break it to you but these aren’t high value targets and they would be doing us a favor if they put them out of business anyway.

Walter E. William’s latest column is on the ethynol hoax. I encourage all to read it. It takes more than one gallon of fossil fuels to produce one gallon of ethynol.

Biggest waste of money I've ever seen. A simple ploy by the Dim controlled Congress to garner the votes of the farmers and re-election contributions from the companies building the dumb refineries.
Extremely interesting in the fact all of a sudden the US can build ethanol refineries, but not oil refineries.
Not to mention put the effort into spending $7 in costs to produce $1 worth of ethanol, but not put money into drilling more oil & gas off the coasts.
BTW, sugar beets require 1/3 the fertilizer than than that corn and will yield 3-4 times ethanol with < 1/2 the disease / insect and weather problems.
We have so much natural gas available to us...it ain't funny...right here on our own soil.
WTF??

The bio-fuels fad is as a big a scam as global warming. It has a net negative total energy impact: that is, it takes more energy to grow the crops, harvest, refine, and then transport (no pipelines so trucks are used) to markets than the bio-fuel's available energy. (A self-licking ice cream cone)

It is classic government operation.....buying votes and buying political contributions....Our Congress should be hung for those voting to subsidize farm crops for ethanol. If it's economically viable, then let the free market set the price.

Ban corn ethanol, or at the very least stop subsidizing it!

Back of the notebook calculations put that at 36 Million acres to satisfy the capacity of these facilities.
Nebraska has 8.1 Million acres of irrigated farmland. Eat your chips and tacos while you can.
Corn ethanol is the largest error in history inspired by the largest scam in history (Global Warming).
Between Gore and the farm subsidy/lobby, we have a huge problem.
