As for Obama and his gilded youth, we are further reminded of just how ridiculous the American fetish for juvenility is. We should listen to the young people because…there can be no reason. The phrase “young people” and “serious thinking” do not belong together in the same sentence. Yet pairing the former with words and phrases such as “hormones, sex, athletics, narcissism, experimentation, drinking, ambition, incessant conversation, over attention to self,” and “ruthless pursuit of entertainment” is most descriptive.

Trustafarians

Best. New. Word. Ever.

The phrase “young people” and “serious thinking” do not belong together in the same sentence.

No kidding. Just because youngsters think they know everything doesn't make it so. Nothing cures that caliber of ignorant hubris like tossing them out on their ear into the real world.

My teenager knows what's best for him already because he JUST DOES! No reason to tell him or ask him to do something you know...and don't dare ask him a simple question because you get that what are you stupid or something look...

I remember vividly my early 20's and had no idea or sense of politics and would NEVER infringe my thoughts or ideals on someone else. Dad always impressed upon me to speak when you are confident you won't look like a fool.

This piece makes a good point. The Left perpetually depends on the gullibility of the young.

Who was it that said "A people without a heritage are easily fooled."?

Yes, trustafarians is a very appropriate word. In other news today, it is reported that one out of four of our trustafarian teens in the good old US of A has a sexually transmitted disease. That’s in addition to the various viruses transmitted by the Cult of Obama.

I wonder if Obama signed up for Selective Service when he was 18?

Ah, it was Karl Marx, and it was:

"A people without a heritage are easily persuaded."

Presuming the original was not in English, I suppose I could argue that "fooled" was a valid translation.

You can't get student aid if you don't. If he got student aid during his college years, then he almost certainly registered with the Selective Service or got some sort of exemption.
