Added the ability to make a sidebar on the left of the page, as well as place boxes at the top and bottom of the page. You'll also be able to add your bookmarks using the Manage Blocks page.
Just wanted to chime in w/Ken re sidebar width.
Otherwise I'm still kinda confused, but that's par.
Good work !
The sidebar and other recent changes are great improvements.
Looks like you made the change... looks great.
Thanks. I couldn’t remember the size it used to be and was worried I made it too wide. And I’m too lazy to hunt through old source code to find the old definition. Heh.
Great stuff, John. I’m still waiting for the nekkid pix. For Pete’s sake don’t tell Jim...
Thanks John for whatever it was you did. My sidebar is now in the middle and no longer over top of my right column articles. Thanks again.
can I change the color shadings on the sidebar? It used to be so easy to see if i had clicked on an article...now they all kind of look alike.
This has been asked many times in these new format threads. The followed link color needs to have more contrast with the unfollowed link color. But I guess it has no chance of being changed, because it doesn't seem to matter how many times we ask.
One thing that helped was to change the sidebar background color to the greenish color. It's called "Stand Out". I hate the color, but at least I can distinguish the followed and unfollowed links.
Thank you so much! What was the problem with the previous sidebar colors?
I know this seems like we are being picky...but it does make a difference and I just can not see the need for this new faded look.
You and me both. If it works, don't fix it.
What is interesting to me is that they could have still made the subtle upgrades without losing the ease of use. Before I could just scan the breaking sidebar for news. Now I have to study it and make an effort to focus. Very frustrating.
This is way cool, but I am soooo lost!
