CHICAGO -- Governor Rod R. Blagojevich today named two of the state’s most influential leaders, former Speaker of the U.S. House Dennis Hastert and Southern Illinois University (SIU) President and former U.S. Congressman Glenn Poshard, as co-chairs of the newly created Illinois Works Coalition. The new bipartisan working group will draw expertise from business, labor and local leaders across the state and will focus on helping pass a statewide infrastructure plan in Illinois. Last month in his annual budget address, Gov. Stroger and Daley barely didn’t make the cut. Hang on to your wallet, anyway.

He didn’t also want to pick Alan Keyes for this? LOL! BTW, is Alan Keyes still living in Illinois, or did he go back to Maryland by now?

Please don't blame Alan Keyes. He was drafted by a confused Judy Barr Topinka, who wasn't sure what party she was heading or what state she was living in. Also don't cry for Judy, she snagged a board of directors job on the RTA. Who says bipartisanship can't work.

Please don't blame Alan Keyes.

Blame him for losing 70%-27%? Or blame him for lying about staying in Illinois and helping rebuild the Republican Party?
