ALBANY - Gov. Eliot Spitzer has been caught on a federal wiretap arranging to meet with a high-priced prostitute at a Washington hotel last month, according to a person briefed on the federal investigation.
An affidavit in the federal investigation into a prostitution ring said that a wiretap recording captured a man identified as Client 9 on a telephone call confirming plans to have a woman travel from New York to Washington, where he had reserved a hotel room. The person briefed on the case identified Mr. Spitzer as Client 9.
Mr. Spitzer today made a brief public appearance during which he apologized for his behavior, and described it as a “private matter.”
“I have acted in a way that violates my obligation to my family and violates my or any sense of right or wrong,” said Mr. Spitzer, who appeared with his wife Silda at his Manhattan office. “I apologize first and most importantly to my family. I apologize to the public to whom I promised better.”

I think the wife should go through all the motions of professing support and stand by her man and just when he starts to leave the microphones she should grab one and say: “Oh, one more thing.. he has a pecker like a peanut and I’m going to be just fine after the divorce.”

I’ve even wondered if the delay in the announcement was due to her having to be convinced to stand with him. They were supposed to have been before th cameras quite a while before they actually appeared.

I don’t know anything about her, but she appears to be more affected by his slimy behavior than Hillary was when she was standing by Bill, and more so than McGreevey’s wife as well.
I felt badly for Chelsea Clinton too.
Interesting if true, with all the speculation of national security concerns maybe being the trigger, I'd be relieved if this turns out to be the case.

Now there’s a lady who offended me all to hell.
She and her fine husband were being interviewed on some show, can’t remember which.
And both of them say over and over, as they pee upon my feet and tell me it’s raining, that Larry is a perfectly normal guy.
This Mrs. Craig has something like four kids from her first marriage. I mean, what, you don’t think her kids knew she was lying, over and over and over?
It’s like, if you lie enough it will eventually become the truth!
Hey, I have less respect for Mrs. Craig than I do for her pathetic husband and his terrific sex life in public bathrooms. He at least gets some sexual pleasure out of it all.

I’ve been wondering- was Spitzer paying his 8.375% sales tax on his prostitution services. After all, NY prosecutes NY smokers who buy cigarettes online and don’t pay sales taxes....
Then to follow on that, what caused the bank to prick it’s ears about the Spitzer transfers?
Multiple, frequent wires? High dollar amounts? A “flag” on the QAT account put there by other financial institutions?
