How long until we have to invent stuff to suck the CO2 back out of the atmosphere? Other than trees....

I watched that show last night “Earth, Population Zero” and heard that outrageous quote that 19 pounds of CO2 are released for every gallon of gas burned. This is up from seventeen pounds in the movie, “Who Killed The Electric Car”. I need someone to explain to me so that I can understand, How do you burn EIGHT pounds of fuel, releasing all that heat energy, and end up with NINETEEN pounds of CO2?

Gasoline is approximately C8H18 or octane with a molecular weight of 114. The 8 carbon atoms combine to form 8 CO2 molecules Molecular weigh 44 * 8 = 352.
Therefore the CO2 formed is 3 times the weight of the gasoline.

I think all the liberal eco-alarmists need to take the intiative and lead by example on this issue with an immediate moratorium on exhaling.

Well, then, we need to get cracking on building enough nuke plants to replace 100% of our electrical grid capacity.

Yeah, I’m not really worried. More CO2 means we can produce more fuel. Confused yet? Look up the Sabatier reactor.

Our morning radio drive guy likes to state that Liberalism is standing on your head and telling the rest of the world it is upside down. These people have an uncanny knack of making non-problems into big problems (carbon dioxide emissions) while simultaneously refusing to recognize big problems (whacked out dictators developing nukes, Islamofacism, erosion of our economic base by a growing government sector which can never get enough).Hey if everyone stops breathing so will dictators, thus all problems are solved. The earth is saved, but for what? That is the real question, why try and save the earth to make it inhabitable for future generations if all life must cease to save the planet. Logic fails these idiots.
