They all leave out milk which is the key ingredient.

Wonder why milk or cream has been left out of so many recipes.

When we were kids, green beans, peas and other vegatables were cooked and sauced with milk and butter. Gravies were thickened with milk or cream. What's happened to milk nowadays?

You’re welcome. You can also make it in a heavy pot or Dutch oven in the kitchen and it’s just as good. I eat it for days.

Grandson Jeremy just got back to Ft. Hood from Baghdad this past month and I’m going to make it for him when he comes here later this month.

Good question. All the carnitas recipes I find use cola soda vice milk.
