It’s a constant source of amazement to me that self-defined “liberals” like this will make excuses for the most illiberal societies, and look the other way as women are ruthlessly oppressed by a belief system from the Dark Ages.
I looked at some of the comments, they state that mormons in America suppress their women as badly. There were a couple of voices of reason in there, not many.

Sorry, but Islam demands the spread of its evil by terror and murder, according to the Koran. And keep in mind that the Middle East (Egypt, Jordan, Syria, North Africa, etc) was devoutly 100% Christian before centuries of forced conversions under pain of death and repression.

What a howler! Not only has young Joshua never worked a day in his life, apparently he's never visited the DMV either.
There are millions of Americans, secular people, who might potentially have a lot in common with the Democrats, who voted Republican in 2002 and 2004 because the Democrats showed that they would stand with any backwards-thinking Third World dictator they could find, as long as he was anti-American. Meanwhile, the Republicans focused their campaign on standing up to terrorism.
