A Kos Kid gives it his best effort to be as blind and stupid as possible: Daily Kos: Is Islam Really Stuck in the 12th Century on Womens Rights?
After denying that theres any problem for women in Islamic countries, Joshua Holland writes in the first comment:
Who Knows?
Hell, maybe women do fare a lot worse in Islamic culture than they do in other faiths. Ive just never seen any hard evidence to support that claim.
You havent seen any hard evidence, Joshua, because you havent looked.
Ten worst countries for women.
Its a constant source of amazement to me that self-defined liberals like this will make excuses for the most illiberal societies, and look the other way as women are ruthlessly oppressed by a belief system from the Dark Ages.

Regarding the left - those blinded by Satan will believe anything.

Alternet: Big Media Can’t Write off Edwards
This great, amazing article by Joshua Holland is one to share with our brothers and sisters in the Progressive Movement (you know - the real Progressive Movement, not the one the DLC thinks is just another way of diffusing the unpopular label “liberal”).

Joshua Holland argues in favor of “opening up the Medicare program to anyone who wants to enroll.” He argues that such a system would cost Americans less than our current health care system for various reasons, one of which, he said, is that Medicare has lower administrative costs than private insurers.
These are the types the State Department and Diplomatic Service recruit for employment in their ranks.
I bet he's a queer.

The guy, Holland, takes ‘being an ass’ to a whole new level.
“Fair Trade” is what used to be called “protectionism”, although there’s no hard evidence of THAT neither, according to little Josh. Now, let’s all face East and start wailing into thin air.
You don’t seem to understand - he CARES and he’s a fierce supporter of hope and change as well!

Right-Wingers Are on the Defensive About Talk Radio Dominance

And Iran isn't even listed? What a load of crap. They lash, hang or stone women who are accused of adultery or being in the company of a man who is not her husband. Iranian women are also ordered to cover their heads by their own government.
Iraqi women can and do hold public office, high ranking government jobs, vote, drive and do not have to cover up. Girls go to school (that was a bunch of BS in the Star's article) just as regularly as boys do and children are all now going regularly since the fear factor of recent years has been significantly reduced.
This article is just more liberal garbage. Either that, or the writer got the 'n' and the 'q' mixed up on the keyboard.
The sad thing is, many people will take it as gospel, just as they do anything the media feeds them.

"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
IF ONLY WE COULD GET THE PROPAGANDA RIGHT ... - JOSHUA HOLLAND (SMIRKING CHIMP, DECEMBER 20): Despite a series of Public Diplomacy Tsars ranging from Madison Avenue hotshot Charlotte Beers to long-time Bush wife Karen Hughes, weve been behind in the information war from the get-go.
PS: It surely hasn’t helped that we hired a rabidly pro-Israel bunch of Evangelical Christian fundamentalists to produce Arabic-language programming for broadcast to the Iraqi people.

Joshua Holland, a senior majoring in international relations who spoke for the College Greens said he objected to Bush’s war on terror.
“This is an unnecessary war of choice,” he said.
The College Democrats argued for Kerry as well.
