Here is video of John McCain talking on Trinity Broadcasting Network about his faith and some of his experiences while a POW in Vietnam. The video was added to YouTube in March 2007, but I'm not sure when the interview actually took place. Very moving and inspirational. . .

Yea, but that wasn’t the question. I think it is gonna be Lieberman.

If he leads, it won't be your country for very long. If he has his way.

This election cycle, it's fashionable to simply SAY your a Christian. That should suffice for the rubes.

Only if Lieberman finally sucks it up, and switches parties to the GOP. :)
Publicly. With great fanfare. Burns his bridges and everything.
Then sure. I’ll vote for McCain / Lieberman.

I wonder why. I mean. I really wonder why?

No, you infer it. And rightly. He is a hero.

About a decade ago I read a touching piece about him in TWS. He refused to EVER use his POW experience to garner sympathy or political advantage. Very impressive.
Now, he never shuts up about it.
The man is a hollow hypocrite.

He’s given enough. Let’s retire him.

That would be good. I still don’t know if I could do it or not. I hate McCain so much and Lieberman would have to do just as you say and I still don’t know if I could pull the lever for them. I have been sick to my stomach ever since he became the nominee.

McCain has consistently said that he does not believe it is his “right” to be President but rather another means of service.

The point is that what happened forty years ago is not relevant. What he has done the past 8 years is way more relevant. And during that time he has made betraying the Republican party his vocation.
And if he insists on trotting out the old POW card, those who doubt his veracity will continue to challenge him on it.
He brings it upon himself.
I don't care what he did forty years ago. I just don't care. It's not relevant today. He's proven that he is now, today a man not to be trusted or respected.

No, you infer it. And rightly. He is a hero. I did not infer any such thing. He is an honored vet nothing more. He is no hero to me.
To: Cringing Negativism Network
That's what he's counting on. You have no place to go. That's why he can and does spit on conservatives with impunity.

OK.
But it’s not just about personalities, or grudges.
Our nation is on the line.
The next president really is going to be one of these three people:
Hillary. Hussein. Or John McCain.
That’s reality.
We need to decide based on that reality.
Not what we want. What we have in front of us.
McCain is the best option available.
Let’d work to make sure our NEXT candidate, is Duncan Hunter. But until then, let’s get John McCain elected.
Please. It’s important.

There's no legal requirement that the VP must be of the same party. I don't think Didn't used to be.

Im thinking Lieberman is a real possibility. Absolutely, I think he is. And he could get McCain the votes he cares about. McCain could care less about the conservative vote and he won't need it with Lieberman.
