The Real Reason Why Gas Prices Are So High - Clinton, McCain, Pelosi, Obama, and the Democrats

By Tom Snyder, Ph.D.

Everybody’s crying about the high price of gasoline these days, including me, but who’s doing anything about it? And, who’s responsible for these high prices in the first place?

For years I’ve been contacting the Democratic Party leaders in Congress about drilling for more oil here at home – in Alaska and offshore. I’ve also been complaining about the lack of new refineries being built because of the wacko environmentalist morons on the left holding the American economy hostage.

Despite this, Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Democratic senators like Diane Feinstein and Barbara Boxer (the senators from my state, California), Senator Hillary Clinton, and Senator Barack Obama keep voting against drilling in Alaska and do nothing to encourage drilling for oil offshore or building new oil refineries.

Making matters worse, liberal Republican senators like John McCain have agreed with these idiots, despite pressure from President George Bush, the leader of the GOP!!!

Thanks, John! How else are you stabbing the American people in the back?

The facts are clear. The people to blame for the high gas prices we’re now facing are Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Sen. Hillary Clinton and Sen. Barack Hussein Obama and their Democratic cronies in the Senate, and RINO moderates like Sen. John McCain.

In other words, the victory of the Democrats in the 2006 elections, supported by the neo-fascist socialist “journalists” at the New York Times and other socialist minions of the national “news” media, has spelled DISASTER FOR AMERICA!

And, Sen. John McCain, holding his fingers to the wind, has signed onto these failed policies of the Democratic Congress, so that he can stay in power and get into the Oval Office.

I urge my fellow Americans, therefore, to put drilling for oil in the United States, building oil refineries in the United States, and defeating the left-wing environmentalist wackos as major campaign issues this fall.

The welfare and prosperity of your family, and of America, is at stake. Stop believing the liberal lies being told by Clinton, Pelosi, Obama, McCain, and the Democratic Congress!

For how many years the the GOP control the House and Senate? ...and why couldn't they get this done then?...rather than take part in "bipartisanship" and self interest?

...and people think Juan McPain is going to make it better?

All sides have agreed that the way to limit green house gas emissions is to slow the economy, even contract the size of the US economy to meet the Kyoto goals.

This is a recipe for economic disaster generating millions of government dependents. Exactly what the d’RTAS want and what the GOP seems to be willing.

We need more refineries. We also need more rights to drill on our own soil. Coalescing on the solution is far more productive than complaining from afar.

imagine this strategy:

1. somehow make it illegal to drill for oil in the places most likely to have any in the US;
2. foment instability in oil producing regions to drive the price of oil up;
3. manipulate the market by nationalizing what were once privatized resources, developed largely with foreign capital.

a daring, long term strategy. and it appears to be working.

You think it’s bad now, wait until the envirowackos have the polar bear put on the endangered species list because of global warming (it’s about to happen). Then the wackos will be suing to shut down all petroleum functions in Alaska to lower it’s “carbon footprint”.

McCain won’t make it better. But compared to Hillary or Obama, McCain is our best choice for persuasion and turning this mess around. Yeah, IF he does something and I’m not holding my breath.

It may be McCain will turn out to be an acceptable steward for Republicans IF we develop better candidates and IF we start educating the masses on energy issues. Certainly, McCain would be better than the alternatives, who would all be horrible for America and our way of life.

And, yes. Correct on all points. And their punishment? More and more years of power. Voters can be such idiots.

I had almost got done barfing about my choices in November and you had to post this. I can’t stand McCain and I can’t stand the position I’ve been put in by the GOP.
The conclusion in my opinion is the country is screwed, we’ll take our lumps and hope for the future.

I’d point out that among the more determined opponents of drilling in the continental U.S. are the Republican governors of California and Florida and the Republican senators of North Carolina. So pinning it solely on the Democrats is pure bullsh*t.

Needed repeating! I expect Juan to join Pelosi and Reid in imposing taxes on the oil companies with the party lemmings following him over the cliff.

The reason oil is so high is because Russia is using the money its getting for its oil and using it to pump up oil futures. The Oil market is easily manipilated because it is a relatively small market compared to the number of dollars changing hands on the NYSE each day.

Russia is not a nation. It is an criminal operation on a scale never seen before.

They're ALL terrible choices, and too many of us have ZERO intention of voting for any of them. I'll pencil my dead dog before voting for McCain OR the others!

A LOT of voters recently woke up to the fact that the GOP has been asleep at the wheel. The timing is atrocious, but at least it's happening.

My own personal hunch is that Hillary is going to win the 2008 election. But the result will be the same no matter what. Whether McCain wins or not is inconsequential at this point....unfortunately. :-)

Which is why the mailing from the RNC that was in my mailbox today went right into the trash. And so will any further mailings from them...especially any from John McCain. I may have to chug Pepto Bismol in order to check the box next to McCain's name in November, but I'll be damned if I'll give my hard earned money to a party that has become so intent on turning into that which they used to stand against.
