CHAPEL HILL -- Police released photos of a person who may be a suspect in the murder of UNC student Eve Carson.
Chapel Hill police have two surveillance photos of a possible suspect, someone Chief Brian Curran called "a person of interest" during a Saturday morning press conference about the Carson murder investigation. That person is wanted for questioning, after attempting to use Carson's ATM card. He is pictured wearing a baseball cap with a star on it.

Apparently she had better things to do with her time than spending all day and night on the internet wearing tinfoil headgear and speculating about a complete stranger's motives in life.
Then what is the “H” in the middle of the star?
OR... she could have been jumped as she was unlocking her vehicle in the early hours by a bunch of street thugs, driven around until she gave up her PIN number and then as she jumped from her vehicle in an attempt to escape, she was chased down and murdered in cold blood.
You need help. Serious help.

Among his memories, dropping by her house unexpected for a glass of water during an afternoon run and found an embarrassed Eve with a facial and painting her toe nails. She helped Seth get elected to student body president. His last exchange with her came through a series of text messages, she texted him to get advice on whether to drop a lab.
She said if she did, it would improve her quality of life, but dropping the class meant she had to take summer school. ** She was concerned summer school would look bad on her resume **.
There's so much about the Eve Carson story - so much irony, so much tragedy, so much inevitability - that I can barely allow myself to think about it.
Bottom line: My gut is telling me that Eve Carson's murder gives us a very good idea of what the nightly news will look like - each and every night - come 2020, or thereabouts.
Prepare accordingly.
Details are starting to dribble out from Bernie Reeves, the editor for NC Central Magazine. Today, Reeves wrote an editorial criticizing the gag on the case evidence and quoted sources from within the Chapel Hill LEO community.
After returning to near her neighborhood under gunpoint with the suspects, Carson made a frantic dash from the backseat of her Toyota Highlander.
“According to reports, she was shot in the back several times as the killers approached, firing a shotgun point-blank into her face from close range, tearing off three fingers on her right hand as she attempted to shield her face from the shots.”
The horror! What an awful thing to happen (if correct) It really brings the vileness of the crime to light more than just a mundane police reference to “shot in the temple”.
