Using absolutely poor judgment and acting un-professionally, PGA tour golfer Tripp Isenhour is about to pay the consequences for his selfish act from last December 12 when, at the Grand Cypress Golf course, he purposely killed a migratory bird. Showing no compassion for the habits of creatures, Isenhour, who was filming a segment for 'Shoot Like A Pro,' apparently got frustrated when the red shouldered hawk began making noises and forcing take after take. In a rage, Isenhour,
Maybe the hawk was an idiot for going that close to flying golfballs. Why blame the man?
Ah...now it’s starting to read like FR around here. I was getting a little concerned:’)
Take enough shots with his skill level and eventually you’ll get lucky.
I keep wondering why he didn’t just have someone get in one of the golf carts and go shoo the bird away. It would have been a lot faster. I’d bet when it saw a golf cart coming at it ti would have flown off pretty quickly.
-—I see no mention of the fact that this bird was wasting hundreds, if not thousands of dollars of this mans money.
Thank you!
He wasn’t playing in a tournament. He was filming a segment for TV on how to makes shots like pros do. So his livelihood was not in jeopardy. Now it is.
There really ought to be some sort of exemption from laws like this, when it takes a remarkable level of skill to actually accomplish.
I mean, it’s not like the kids in school who were cruel to cats.
Hitting a bird with a golfball at 75 yards, deserves an award of some sort. That’s not animal cruelty.
That’s top of the food chain, talent.
I bet they can work that into the PGA tour -- you know how they have that Honda sitting there at the Par 3 for the first hole-in-one?
Are pellet guns considered firearms in your neighborhood? They work great with the pointy pellets.
First there is the dismal record of voting crook "progressive" politicians in, time after time, then acting outraged and surprised.
Then there's the universal panic about anthropogenic "global warming."
Then there is the assertion that second-hand smoke is lethal.
Now, foaming at the mouth do-gooders, all evidently non golfers, wringing their hands at an impossible shot. Do they have even a clue how many hole-in-one contests actually pay off?
Take Tiger Woods and 4 other golfers of your choice, give them all 50 tries to hit a 5-inch circle on the fly, from 75 yards away, and see how many "hits" there are. My guess?
Zero.
This guy did take pot shots in frustration (understandable), he may have anger-management issues, but firing in the general direction of a bird at 75 yards is a million to one shot for even the best golf professionals.
Seems that there's a real army of bleeding-heart do-gooders out there, ready to be outraged at the slightest provocation.
Controlling, sanctimonious twits, all.
Should the golfer be fined some nominal amount? Probably. Sentenced to die on "sparky"? I don't think so!
I agree!
And all this negative publicity is likely hurting his livelyhood.
It's one of my favorites.
Kids, they do come up with some ingenious ideas. Like this one:

Moe not Mo. I’m such a moron.
Moeron?
LMAO! Guilty as charged.
I presume, then, that you are a vegan? That you watch very carefully where you tread, and breath through a mask so as to avoid killing living creatures?
You have this exactly wrong. Filming a segment for TV costs hundreds or thousands of dollars an hour. That is exactly a large part of a pro-golfer’s livelihood. That is how this common bird was wasting his money. It is part of our national insanity that we are willing to put a person in jail for killing a bird that is in no way an endangered species.
A $50 fine I could see. Putting him in jail and making a social pariah out of him is insane.
Where is the harm? He killed a voracious predator that bloodily and mercilessly killed hundreds of fellow creatures in any given year, so he ought to be applauded by animal-rights wackos for saving thousands of “lives”.
I guess that when other animals kill other animals, if becomes “moral”.
Insanity.
“Would you have prefered he pulled out a glock?”
Apparently every golf bag needs a shotgun added.
