I notice the Taleban don’t worry about collateral damage, so why should we?

Asthetics are very poor with the awful looking woodish stock and all the sharp corners. Did the designer only have a ruler?

The comments below the article confirm that the lyrics to the song “There's no England Now” are correct. They're a hoot, but they're too much proof that the craven and the cynical are now the typical man in the street.

The record for a sniper kill was set by a Canadian in Afghanistan — 2,320 meters, using a .50 BMG.

An attempt at a record for shameful government response to this achievement was made by our previous Liberal government.

Have you guys seen this little US-made shooter? Cal .408 and they claim to have the record for distance and accuracy.

The CheyTac M-200 in conjunction with the CheyTac ABC (advanced ballistic computer and critical input devices; like the Kestrel 4000, hand held weather station, the Leica Vector Laser Range finder, Genuine CheyTac Ammunition and a high quality Nightforce scope can outdistance all other sniper weapon systems 50 caliber and below. This is accomplished through total integration of products into a system not simply a rifle. CheyTac is the first to join these emergent technologies and create a weapon system with true predictive capability on long range targets.

Our military should buy domestically, and spend development dolars at home too.

Nice, how long until it’s available in the States?
I can see this being a huge Christmas item if the 2008 election gets ugly.

Sniping is proving a hugely-important tactic in Afghanistan, where the difficulty of fighting among maze-like compounds and thick vegetation necessitates attacking the enemy at long range.

Makes sense. Great morale-killer too.

I have used a few of Malcolm Coopers designs....all the AI variations are first rate. I have one AI .308 I purchased from their shop near Oak Ridge. Our unit had 4 more ordered after we almost shot the barrel out of mine !

We we told em what we did in testing etc and they gave me a new one !

Expensive even back then yet very good customer service.

Good rig but very very heavy......too heavy IMO for all but specialized missions.
