If anyone can go mine Clown Posse, Wideawkes, Darwin Central, GOPachy? and they can find out what the moderates that left here to anti-freep really think about FR........they act there like they absolutely loathed everything here.

About three years ago, the Clown Pansies did a thread on yours truly basically calling me a Klansman. I 1. never thought myself important enough to warrant a thread, so I was flattered. and 2. found the comments laughable.

Wagglebee! Thank you for your warm welcome. It’s good to be back, but I must say that I’ve gotten a lot of things done after recovering from my FR addiction. :)

I don’t have time for this nonsense. I don’t know anything about any attacks on Freepers, except the verbal attack that Dixiechick made on me because I posted that I enjoyed the posting of some of the banned Freepers.

Let me get this straight. You've spent nearly a week on this thread defending the harpies. Now you say you don't have time for this "nonsense" AFTER it has been demonstrated countless times that these attacks have always existed. If it was all "nonsense," why have you stayed on the thread so long? It seems rather implausible that you've known these harpies for so long but had no idea how they acted . . . although I suppose they never actually bothered those who agreed with their big tent RINOism.

And now you have the audacity to make disparaging remarks about dixiechick2000 without having the courtesy to ping her . . . I wonder where you learned this from.

This site is so vast, I never notice when someone is banned unless someone says something about it. I suspect no one else does either unless it’s the result of an opus, one is on a thread when it happens, or, if the banned are known personally by others still here.

I don’t really know of any I’d like to see banned from the site; I’d be sad to learn someone was banned because of anything I said or anyone else said. It’s a sad thing, but one I assume that is a last resort. After all, if Mr. Robinson went around banning everyone he disagreed with this site would be pretty small in short order.

It’s his call since it’s his site. If anyone would like to see someone restored here, I would encourage them to talk to that person to tell them to work it out with the management directly. As much as some are liked, I’m sure the same are disliked by others. Posting a plea for leniency is probably not going to engender universal support, and indeed, probably have the opposite effect as those who dislike the banned will come to such threads to remind others why they think the banned should remained banned.

I don’t have time for this nonsense.

Oh but you do.

But to be fair.....I liked Torie myself, she was at least honest about being soft on social issues.

But most of the rest were a wolf pack.

Many are still here, I can think of a half dozen right now....including a couple on this here thread.

I remember that.

Clemenza “il capi di tutti Klukker”......they lambasted me for saying homosexuality was a neurosis...even after they invited me to “hang out”....sandbagged me for their amusement

some were witty but mostly a very nasty echo chamber

Reminded me of the “ladies on the bench” in the last chapter of Selby’s “Last Exit to Brooklyn” A greek chorus of bitter old hags.

The police just left. He told me to go get a restraining order.

I don’t know who Torrie is. I don’t know any of the posters personally.

I just went downstairs to get the gun that my husband bought me and I’m trying to decide if I should go out back and shoot it a few times. I’ve only shot it twice and I’m not really comfortable with it.

Read my last post. I’m shaking and sitting here with a gun in my lap, wondering what to do.

I am very sorry to hear how serious your problem is (I incorrectly assumed from your previous post that it was a one-time event last night) and I certainly know how upsetting something like this can be.

If the police won’t protect you and you don’t feel safe at home, you might want to think about leaving the house for a time. I WOULD NOT fire the gun in the backyard unless you are certain that it is permitted in your town (many towns have ordinances against discharging a firearm except for reasons of self-defense or at licensed gun ranges).

If you’re not that comfortable with the gun your husband got you, you should consider a revolver. That’s what my wife has, it’s far easier than a semi-automatic (especially in a stressful situation) and as long as you get a good one you will never have to worry about any malfunctions.

Leaving the house wouldn’t do any good. We first had problems with the guy that I suspect in 1992, and we’ve moved twice. Police told me to get a new restraining order, but I can’t do it today.

The gun that my husband bought me is a Walther P22. Is that considered a semi-automatic?

When my wife first bought a gun she bought a Walther P22 and yes it is a semi-automatic. It’s a very fun gun to shoot, the problem is that it’s probably not powerful enough for self-defense (unless you are a very good shot and get very lucky), it simply won’t put someone before they can get to you; however, the person probably won’t know that it’s only a 22 caliber if he sees it. As soon as my wife got comfortable with it she understood why it wouldn’t really protect her (she is a criminal defense attorney and is around a lot of very unsavory people) and that’s when she bought a 357 magnum revolver, it’s loud, it’s very powerful and it will put someone down with one shot to the body.

The problem with a restraining order is that they tend to just make psychotic criminals angrier.

Sorry, didn't read the previous posts.

Best thing you can do right now, is have the phone close, the doors locked, and if you have to call 911, let the operator know you are armed and willing to shoot.

You will be surprised how fast they get there.

My husband has a Smith and Wesson 44 magnum revolver that sounds like a cannon, but we are considering getting rid of it, and trading it in for a smaller caliber. I’ve never even
considered shooting that.

I’m signed up for a gun class in April, but that’s a while away. I told my husband that we should get something a little more powerful after I get used to the 22. In the mean time, I think that I will have an alarm system installed.

A 357 magnum is loud, but nowhere near as loud as a 44 and it has a lot less kick. Additionally, it will shoot 38 special (which will certainly put someone down if you use a good hollow point).
