I’m sure the drug trade will grind to a halt when dealers can’t find any other containers to sell their drugs in.
Why are so many silly people running our governments?
In the early ‘80s, iirc, Jacksonville NC either outlawed or attempted to outlaw the possession of hand held mirrors, safety razors, plastic straws and sandwich baggies as “drug paraphernalia”
>>Yeah, it’s those little baggies that get you high. That will fix the drug problem. < sarc > Like a tag is really needed, but I thought I’d put one in just in case.<<
Reminds of the old All in the Family Episode
Meathead: Do you know half the homicides last year were committed with guns
Archie: Would you prefer they were pushed out of windows?
It’s sure a good thing that these types of bags are not available anywhere but within the Chicago city limits — I know I can’t find any in the Chicago suburbs or at a webstore.
First guns, now baggies - it’s good to see that city government is watching out for us - and raising local sales tax in the process /sarc off
Apparently he's an alum of my law school. Pretty decent guy overall, as I recall. I am sorely disappointed he would take up this losing and misdirected crusade.
Haven't they "banned" the possession of illegal drugs, and that hasn't stopped drug use? So the bags have to go? That's just STUPID!
They sell these tiny baggies in craft stores.
A lot of crafters use them to store beads and/or small amounts of various crafting materials (punched paper, stickers, bits of clay, jewelry findings). I have used them for beads & jewelry findings.
Also, they are used to store completed pairs of earrings & other small items. They have many legitimate uses.
Nothing like punishing the innocent for the crimes of the guilty.
When little baggies are outlawed, only old bags will have little baggies...
I am sure those bags are not available on the Internet. /s

All the drug dealers will be forced to use tupperware.
They have out lawed the drug dealers with no success. Now little school kids with lunches will be a target.
This is silly. Anyone who spent seven or eight years in college knows how to make their own out of larger baggies.
I cross stitch.
I use tiny baggies for different fibers and beads.
What a dumb law. Of course, passing out clean NEEDLES is probably fine and dandy.
“Crackdown”?
That some kind of cutesy play on words?
Wow, how brilliant!! I never would have thought of that.
Hey, why don’t we stop herion use by banning all hyperdermic needles. Yeah, some diabetics with certain insulin may suffer, but it’s for the greater good!
Well isn’t this brilliant,,,great minds at work here people, all of these idiots should be fired. Do these people actually LISTEN to what they propose? Man oh man, talk about the dumbing down of America. While we’re at it let’s ban pooperscoopers that way doggies won’t poop anymore, and let’s ban cigarette packages that way people won’t smoke anymore, let’s ban hot dog rolls so people won’t eat hotdogs anymore,,,,,,oh my,,,,,,,the list is endless!
I’ve always sad that the little baggies with the twisters are much more environmentally sound.....
Time to buy stock in Saran Wrap.
Buncha goobers!
