How can it be bad? Hildy AND Obama are on the ticket, in whatever order.
That’s likely. And bad.

Exactly. The strategy is to keep them tied and fighting, and spending money the whole way. The tactics change, the strategy does not. McCain is a lame candidate. He doesn't have a lot of money, and that is entirely HIS fault. He needs to face a weakened candidate or he is toast. Maybe all the Rush bashing is because these people know in their hear of hearts what a lame candidate lord McCain actually is. Allll the easier to do what liberals do and point an accusing finger to the first talk show host they can name. There sure is a massive amount of paralyzing fear of a women going on these day. An ugly absolutely chalk on the blackboard voice itching and witching day in and day out. Makes NO sense to be so paralyzed of her, that is unless there is NO confidence in their nominee.

FDR thru Truman was 20 years! Now I’m crying, real tears!

Clinton getting the nom. is the only chance McCain has.
We aren’t going to beat the race card.

Well said. I couldn’t agree more. This was a foolish strategy.

You make ZERO sense. Did Rush's ratings go way up with Hillary in office (92-94)? Yes or no.

Obama is ahead...despite Clinton’s victories yesterday. She can not win with elected delegates. He won’t be the vp-she would. The Dems will not overturn the vote. Plus their are new polls out that indicate Obama can beat McCain while Hillary may not.

—Hillary vs. McCain contest, I think McCain would win easily. —
Uh, I don’t know. Unless (God forbid) there’s another terrorist attack or some such crisis, I don’t see women voters flocking to McCain. It’s the ex-wife vs. the cranky father-in-law matchup.
To: palmer
Exactly.
Why has this obvious fact been so little noticed by those who supposedly make a living looking two-three steps ahead on the political chessboard?
Repeating myself, but . . . all this stunt did was make it more likely that BOTH candidates will be on the ticket.
That was dumb.

PA has a closed primary. Repubs can not vote for McCain. It is too late to change party registration also. We had our chance last night-thanks again Rush.

You are wrong.
Without Rush’s little stunt then many more Repubs would have voted for Obama. To think that Rush did not have an effect is ridiculous.

"Lets assume worst case scenario and you are correct it gets passed. Whats the worst that can happen? All the best talkers go to XM or Sirious and we have to pay 20 bucks a month to listen? Big deal." It may not be a "big deal" to you, but it deals a serious blow to suppression of free speech and sets a horrible precedent...or did that fact escape you?

Well, I believe that he’s as arrogant as she is. And ego is very difficult to control. Especially when you’re surrounded by people that tell you you’re great all the time. So I think it’s a 50/50 proposition. It will probably depend on how PA goes and the remainging races. If he has a delegate lead, a popular vote lead, he might reject the offer. If hillary has sizeable wins I think he takes the veep.
To: monkeybrau
Its a whole lot easier to go negative on Hillary, really no one considers her a woman or the least bit feminine or vulnerable. Plus, shes a Clinton so she gets to bear the baggage of Bill as well. Obama, on the other hand, is black. All negative attacks will be framed in that light. Rush was right to encourage the crossover. Now they will tear each other apart, go all the way to the convention, and Hillary will see to Michigan and Florida being seated and steal the nomination. Given the state of political affairs and it wasn't that McCain got cheated as he won the nomination it made political sense to me.... Now I got to say I was most thankful that I have already voted and did not have to attempt to convince myself to cast a vote for Hillary. I really do not know that I could have done it myself.

“If McCain is smart hell pick Santorum to be his running mate.”
You can’t be serious. Santorum couldn’t/didn’t pull 40% of the vote in his failed Senatotial re-election effort in PA. Robert “mumbles” Casey crushed him. You want to hang him on McCain to help take PA and OH ?

The strategy is to keep them tied and fighting, and spending money the whole way.
I'll offer a different perspective. The prolonged contest may actually help the Dems. It keeps the focus and media attention on both candidates. Free exposure. It also draws out more participants in the remaining states. Pumps them up, get's them primed for turning out again in the general, and solidifies there contempt for the Republican. A deal is going to be worked out that unites the party. There will continue to be plenty of money available. All this just puts more fuel in their tank. Rush blew it.

Already the buyers remorse setting in, so the inevitable “oh, Hillary is easier to beat”
So, when Hill is Pres...I’ll be laughing at you dumbasses.
