K-Lo, writing here from Austin, Texas.
Not sure why the networks havent picked up on this, but there is definitely a sizable portion of the vote in Texas tonight comprised of Republican voters looking to game the Democratic primary. I spoke with numerous friends today, who claim to be Republican, who said they voted for Sen Clinton with the thought that it will prolong the Dem in-fighting and therefore benefit Republicans. I wont debate the merits of their argument here, but the phenomenon (Republicans voting for Sen Clinton to gain the system) is real and I think material to the results. Im surprised I havent seen anyone reporting it and just how large the impact might be. Im sure it is contributing to the number of voters deciding in the final three days to support Sen. Clinton. Would be curious to hear your contributors comment on this dynamic. The VRWC conspires to save the Clinton campaign?
Did you vote for Bush?
“Youre an emotional, short-sighted idiot. “
Thanks, Id rather be that than a smarmy liberal like you.
Yep, Al Wilson. : )
On the way to work one morning
Down the path along side the lake
A tender hearted woman
Found a poor half-frozen snake
His pretty colored skin
Had been all frosted with the dew
“Poor thing” she cried, “I’ll take you in
And I’ll take care of you.”
Take me in tender woman
Take me in for heaven’s sake
Take me in tender woman
Sighed the Snake
She wrapped him up all cozy
In a comforter of silk
And laid him by the fireside
With some honey and some milk
She hurried home from work that night
And as soon as she arrived
She found that pretty snake she’d taken in had been revived.
Take me in tender woman
Take me in for heaven’s sake
Take me in tender woman
Sighed the Snake
She clutched him to her bossom
“You’re so beautiful” she cried
“But if I hadn’t brought you in by now you might have died.”
Well she stroked his pretty skin again
And kissed him really tight,
Instead of saying thanks,
the snake gave her a vicious bite.
Take me in tender woman
Take me in for heaven’s sake
Take me in tender woman
Sighed the Snake
“I saved you!” cried the woman
“And you’ve bitten me but why?”
“You know your bite is poisonous
And now I’m gonna die.”
“Ha shut up, silly woman.”
Said that reptile with a grin.
“You knew darn well I was a snake before you took me in.”
Take me in tender woman
Take me in for heaven’s sake
Take me in tender woman
Sighed the Snake
Take me in tender woman
Sighed the Snake
Take me in tender woman
Sighed the Snake.
Hey I am NOT blaming RUSH, I have spend considerable time explaining the WHY of his advocacy of voting Hillary. As I heard him myself put forth the multiple reasons why it made political sense. Most specifically because lord McCain has been spending all his time bashing any conservative or republican that says one distasteful word about either of his friends, Hillary and Obama.
“They would never vote for a n-word or a woman for POTUS. Its a long time until November, a lot can happen.”
You sure do have GREAT friends.
You could not have stated the situation any better. If anyone thinks someone is telling me to vote one way or another, they are wrong.
I am going to switch to the Dem ticket for the primary in my state, and decide how to vote at that time.
I like your bumper sticker. This whole election blows, but I am not going to get my panties in a bunch over it.
Just add the pic of the BWich and it will make a great bumper sticker...
Polls at this point mean NOTHING
Spotlight ain’t been on Obama yet
He will wilt Big Time
Yes it had to do with emotional drain, that by November more than a few would be tuned out and turned offf from the nonstop fighting by Hillary and Obama. And lord McCain can continue to stay above the fray as a clean campaigner. Imagine that, Rush was actually attempting to help lord McCain. Lord McCain finds himself in a financial pickle due to his own legislation, he is now enduring a drought of that speech cash. Allll that free help and so little gratitude.
Did you vote for Bush?
How quickly a fool like yourself forgets who the alternatives were in both of Bush's elections. I voted against Al Gore in 2000 and against John F. Kerry in 2004. Bush was exactly what I expected. The better choice!
This is the scenario I'm hoping for. She will alienate the African American vote, the "change for change's sake" guilty white vote, the youth vote and the dem Clinton haters. Those factions may add up to be enough to throw the election to McQueeg. This is our best chance. Going head to head against Obambi would be a disaster.
And you'll probably vote against Hillary or Obama.
And I'm the fool?
Buzz off.
bumper sticker- Yes McCain. No Hussein.
And I detest McCain
If Hillary “cheats” Obama out of the nomination, how many blacks are going to vote for her? Without the black vote any Dem candidate is DOA.
Don’t you realize certain know-it-alls say they know better than the polls 8 months out? sheesh! /sarc
Not if he's her running mate.
