A new plan by a California lawmaker would allow schools to be used to promote the overthrow of the U.S. government, and let teachers in public district classrooms "inculcate in the mind of any pupil a preference for communism," according to a traditional values advocacy organization.
"Just when we thought the indoctrination in California's public schools couldn't get any worse, state lawmakers introduce bills that will further brainwash innocent children," said a statement from Capitol Resource Institute, a traditional values and family advocacy organization based in California.
"We're in California. Of course it has a chance of succeeding," CRI spokeswoman Karen England told WND. "These people get bolder and bolder every year."
Her organization, along with several others, already has been battling over lawmakers' orders, already placed in law, that public schools in the state teach nothing but positive messages about homosexuality, transsexuality, bisexuality and other alternative lifestyles.
Those plans are being challenged in court, by citizens' attempts to place the issue on the 2008 election ballot and by family advocates who say the best option is for families to abandon public schools for private schools or other alternatives.
Now comes the plan, SB 1322, from state Sen. Alan Lowenthal, a Democrat elected from the state's 27th District, including the towns of Artesia, Avalon, Bellflower, Cerritos, Downey, Lakewood, Long Beach, Lynwood, Paramount, Signal Hill, South Gate and others.
"This bill would actually allow the promotion of communism in public schools," CRI said.
That's because the state's Civic Center Act already requires a school district to grant the use of school property, when an alternative isn't available, to nonprofit groups, clubs or associations set up for youth and school activities.

Rush is improving (somewhat). Recently he has been making a snide remark or two about government schooling on his daily programs.
Sean and Bill do cover government school nuttiness.
However,,,NONE of the 3 Stooges ever identifies schools as being Marxist dominated.
None of the 3 Stooges ever identifies the threat that this Marxist indoctrination will be to all freedom. None ever points out that the Marxists in our government schools are indoctrinating the next generation of voters.
NONE of the 3 Stooges ( Rush, Sean, and Bill) ever suggest that parents should remove their children immediately!
NONE of the 3 Stooges ever tells their audience that what is needed is to SHUT DOWN every government school!
NONE of the 3 Stooges ever even begins to tell their listeners that government schools can NOT be reformed!
How can we “take back America” if the 3 most powerful men on the conservative side are ASLEEP regarding the threat of government school indoctrination to **all** freedom????
If the government school Marxists succeed in indoctrinating the next generation of voters, **all** freedom will be lost in the voting booth. The world will enter another 1,000 year long Dark Age!
Also,,on the college level, it makes me **SICK** to think of how many conservatives ( Christian and non-Christian) gave money to Billion dollar college and university endowments!
Why aren’t conservatives creating BILLION dollar private school foundations that would give private vouchers to private **conservative** schools? Why aren’t conservatives giving grants to individual teachers to open conservative mini-schools, micro-schools, one room school houses, homeschool cooperatives, virtual schools, and tutoring centers?
Why aren’t conservative organizing MASSIVE government school tax REVOLTS in the voting booth?
I am completely exasperated!
For the record, I have no children. I am a teacher. What I am saying is that I would refuse to take part in this "re-education" by indoctrinating my students with this crap. Sorry for not being more clear initially.
We have required insurance in my state. In all instances but the last, I had to claim on my uninsured motorist provision of my own insurance policy.

Is there are point where you would open a private school to rescue as many children as possible?

Interesting take on this. However, I prefer to be one of the few conservative teachers who toils purposefully to give at least a small portion of the students in the system an opportunity to receive an education that is NOT biased or full of propaganda. I am trying to do my small part for those students who YEARN for a conservative teacher to NOT feed them the BULLS**T and teach them objectively...
THAT is my purpose...

That’s way I include civil disobedience. Sit-ins in the schools, marches and just plain “I WILL NOT OBEY”.
This tactic of engaging in ideas is fine, but in our society, it is the “Big Lie” that gets people’s attention. The more outrageous, the more it is believed. Take a page from the socialist/communists, hit them with the same rage they direct at Conservatives.
I'm not suggesting the gov't should pay for car insurance. I'm suggesting that any fool that drives on the publicly paid for highways, has to pay for his own insurance. You can't pay, you can't drive. Fairly simple concept.
From each according to his ability, to each according to his need sounds eminently fair, until you realize that the Glorious Leader gets to decide what your needs are!

But see that’s not “good enough” for SOME. They can’t or simply won’t recognize that the kind of teacher you are exists. In their opinion, they’re ALL evil. Which you and I know is an absurdly FALSE premise to base an argument on.
That said, IF I lived in California, I’d be SERIOUSLY looking for a new place to live.
It’s going to come down to a shooting war at some point.
