Senator Barack Obama, D-Ill., has defeated Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., in Vermont's Democratic primary -- a win that was expected by both candidates and credited to the states sizeable population of Independent voters who have typically gone for the Illinois senator.
The polls are still open in Ohio, Texas, and Rhode Island -- crucial primary contests that could cement Obama's hold on the Democratic presidential nomination, or sway momentum back to Clinton, who has now suffered setbacks in 12 straight losses.

No surpirse. The state is dominated by latte limo white liberals who love Obama.

I said on another thread that MSNBC political guy says whoever wins Toledo wins Ohio. That’s kind of frightening since Obama is generating large waves here (Toledo).
Right. I’m a Vermonter. Your average Obama supporter is a nonworking trustfunder, often wearing dreadlocks or a ponytail and driving a Volvo (preferred), Audi, or Mercedes. They were born with a silver spoon in their mouth and want to make sure no-one else gets rich as they are. If you were to get rich it would hurt the environment. The best thing for anyone who desires to get ahead financially or get rich is a hike in taxes, according to these Obamakans.
I guess it’s over for McLame according to ABC Hussein will be CIC.
Leave the coffin lid open and exposed to sunlight.
That had to hurt, even though it is Vermont, which Her Thighness could not have expected to win.
Ohio results should be out shortly I would think. Texas has about 40 minutes before the polls close.
I voted about two this afternoon, a precinct just outside Ft. Hood in Central Texas. I doubt if there are more than a dozen houses, duplexes or apartment buildings that are more than 6 or 7 years old, those being leftovers from when the area was rural or semi-rural, with a few acreages. Proportionally there aren't that many apartments, in fact they are all 4 plexes, not big complexes. The duplexes are generally pretty nice too, I lived in one while waiting for my house to be built. The school I voted at has an "adopted by" (Army Unit) sign right out front.
There were two, count 'em, two, people, including this old fat cat, in line to vote in the pubbie primary. The line for the DemonRat primary stretched clear along the front hall of the school, maybe 50-60 feet, with dozens in line. Lots of soldiers in uniform too. Many, but hardly all or even a majority were African Americans, both in and out of uniform.
Interesting. At my precinct in Grand Prairie, TX, I was one of two Republicans voting. The dim line was long and full of color.
Considering the division of the delegates, the number remaining, the super delegates and actual number required to produce a nominee; the only relevance of “winning” these races is to promote the media. Of course I may not understand new math.
Yeah! The only state that has elected an official member of the Socialist Party to the Senate went overwhelmingly for The Socialist Empty Suit.
Let’s just put it this way. If clinton should win, she would have obama as her VP, it won’t be the other way around. Take clinton out now and worry about obama later.
he only won because Lenin didn’t run
Vermonters thought they were VOTING for ‘Larry, Darryl and Darryl’ - not Obama!! :)
