Greenhouse gas emissions will have to be eliminated completely to stabilise the Earth's climate and prevent temperatures from rising. That’s the conclusion of climatologists in the US who say that our current efforts to merely stabilise emissions will not be enough.

The only way toward a cooler planet is to adjust the three orbital eccentricities of the Earth (look up Milankovitch Cycles) and regulate solar output (see Maunder Minimum).

Or move to orbital habitats, or build Ringworld (Discworld has some issues).

In fact water vapor is 95% of all greenhouse gases. Carbon Di Oxide is less than 1% of all greenhouse gases and of that 1% man made sources are only 9 - 10% at best. Even if we could reduce that to zero it would make little to no impact to global climate. If Kyoto were implemented in full it would drop temps by 0.03 degrees in 50 years which is hardly perceptible.

The global warming movement is the latest home of the communists whose primary goal is to bring down capitalism.

Who said that the world needs to freeze for half the year just to be comfortable the other half?

It is a lot more beneficial to have a longer growing season, less winter heating, and lots of pollution-washing storms.

We even know how long we have before we need to move to higher ground - at least 200 years before we get to 2000 tonnes - why would we complain about that?

By then we would have replaced the entire population twice as well as 90% of the infrastructure (historically-important buildings and other such romantic truck still rotting under their new paint jobs.)
