Whatever the outcome of Texas and Ohio voting tomorrow, there's enough dirt being thrown in the final throes of the Democratic campaign to arm Republican John McCain with an arsenal of attacks on Barack Obama.
The Clinton campaign contends they are closing in Ohio and Texas after seeing their double-digit polling leads evaporate in both states. In a conference call with reporters, the campaign said voters will wake up Wednesday to newspaper headlines that show Sen. Hillary Clinton being being "successful" in both states, though they conceded that she would remain far behind rival Sen. Barack Obama in pledged delegates.
Clinton is hitting Obama as hard as she can on the Rezko house-hunting deal and the NAFTA flap (see below), with her advisers going so far as to call the Canadian memo about a conversation with Obama economic adviser Austan Goolsbee "NAFTA-Gate." That seems like a stretch, but Clinton campaign strategist Mark Penn said late-breaking voters are headed their way based on questions raised about Obama's credibility on national security and the economy.
Those two issues will be "pivotal reasons behind our success," Penn predicted, based on internal polling. Clintonites are also hitting hard on Obama's failure to hold hearings on Afghanistan despite chairing a Senate subcommittee with oversight responsibility. . . .

Hmmmm, that depends on if we can ween McCain from his addiction to attacking Republicans, doesn’t it?
Who is going to be effected more by these weather conditions? Clinton voters or Obama voters? or it does not matter?
IMHO, Clinton’s elderly supporters will stay home with weather like freezing rain. Old bones don’t mend well, eh?

Excellent question.
On the one hand, Clinton's supporters tend to be older, so you'd think that bad weather would affect them more. On the other hand, older voters tend to be more dedicated, so a spot of bad weather may not affect them as much. And on the third hand, Ohio absentee voting means many will have already voted...
It'll be interesting to see how it plays out.
Maybe if the weather negatively affects Hillary, she can threaten to sue God for the ice and the state of Ohio for a do-over.
