it may have been a reference to another famous line: "Do not judge, or you too will be judged."

Oh, leftists LOVE this MISquote. It justifies the very core of their belief system, that no behavior should be judged, even by naturally occuring consequences for that behavior.

Anyone hearing a leftie spout this MISquote should shove THE REST OF THE VERSE down their throats -

Don't judge, or you too will be judged BY THE SAME STANDARD!

Libs don't believe in standards of behavior, it must be why they leave this part off.

Exactly.

The message of Scripture is that we are to “judge righteous judgment” (John 7:24) and cultivate spiritual discernment (1 Corinthians 2:15). Spiritual maturity demands that we test values and weigh propositions and exercise sensible discretion but we must never do it with a spitefully critical spirit.

Matthew 7
1Judge not, that ye be not judged.

2For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

3And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

Libs don't believe in standards of behavior, it must be why they leave this part off.

They also love to use the passage whereby Jesus forgives the adulteress to justify their wrongdoing, ALWAYS conveniently leaving out the most important words in the lesson:

"Go, and sin no more." John 8:11 (emphasis mine)

Nothing irritates me more than when people use His words to try to excuse their behavior.
